We had breakfast everyday here during our stay at Limelight. The venue is nice, service is very attentive and fast and environment is overall great.

I always had the all American breakfast which was on point each time, eggs were great, the potatoes were delicious. With my husband we shared the steel cut outs which I also highly recommend. The first day my husband asked for the steak frites which was a bit underwhelming but the rest of the days he had the all American too and loved it.

We stayed at the Limelight Hotel for four nights and had breakfast at Ajax three mornings in a row. Every morning, my husband had the latte, and I had the cappuccino, both solid, but the real highlight was the care and execution from the kitchen staff.

On our first day, I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the scrambled eggs were the fluffiest I’ve ever had, clearly cooked low and slow with intention. The breakfast potatoes were crisp and plentiful. The next day’s omelet was just as delicious.

For our last evening, we ordered room service, and I finally tried the duck entrée I’d been eyeing all week. Even delivered to our room, the skin was beautifully crispy, and the smoky flavor was absolutely divine. You can tell the kitchen team takes real pride in their food. Highly recommend Ajax!

I have frequented Ajax about a dozen times. I live walking distance so it is very conveniently located for me. Ambiance is dark and intimate. Very nice decor especially for a hotel restaurant.
This meal took place on 1/20/26.
The service is always very attentive and courteous. Staff knows the menu very well and they typically make great suggestions. However on this particular night the waiter should have suggested we do not order the oysters. It’s possible he did not know about their “state”, so this really is the kitchen’s / executive chef’s fault not the waiter, who that evening provided very great service. To the meal , there was three of us , we ordered two salads and 6 oysters, and cauliflower as a side and I had the Berkshire pork . 2 of had the pork and 1 of us ordered the aged ribeye .
2 of us ate half a dozen oysters .
They were pretty briny but I did not think much of it a the time being that Ajax is a great steakhouse . However that evening at about 3am in the morning I felt extremely ill.
Luckily, was not full blown food poisoning but my stomach was in knots that entire night and most of the next day, even after uncomfortable visits to the bathroom that night mu stomach was hurting all night/morning to the point I couldn’t fall back asleep. Initially I thought maybe it was the mixture of two wheat beers with salads , and pork , and cauliflower and oysters, (to many different foods) that was until today when I spoke to my buddy who also had the oysters and said he had a similar horrible experience . We both were very ill that evening and into the following morning. We are now absolutely sure it was the oysters as we both recalled them having too much liquid and Briney flavor which should have indicated they have spoiled and gone Bad . They should
Have not served them at all or at least tested one before sending out, if older batch.
Any place that serves raw seafood must be held at a higher standard when it comes to serving it , as spoiled seafood can have serious consequences.
The pork was delicious but I will def never be ordering seafood from there again.

Steak is OK, good medium rare cook, good crust, beefy, the only thing not up to par is not very tender but is ok. Fries is very crunchy but a bit too much seasoning makes it too salty.

Great food but overpriced. Entrees do not come with a side. We had a brussel sprouts Caesar salad. I had the pork chop which was seasoned really well. My wife had the halibut which was good but overpowered with onion flavor. Shared a side order of truffle fries which tasted great. We enjoyed a table on the sidewalk. Total bill for the 2 of us was $230.

I visited during the lunch hour which only had a limited menu, but that was fine.
I chose the Wagyu Bolognese. I was not impressed. It was just okay. I was thrown off by how oily it all was. The pasta was just sitting in a bowl of oil. So much so that I didn’t eat the bottom layer because I was really worried about it upsetting my stomach.
Service was also just okay. There was only 2 other tables there when I arrived so it wasn’t busy. Nothing was wrong, but the waitress didn’t talk to me at all either. She just set my stuff down, took my order and then came back for my check. She did her job and that was it. So 3 stars for okay.
I should have sat at the bar, that room is much brighter, had more visitors and felt more welcoming. If I ever make it back, I’ll sit in the room with the bar.
Overall, I wasn’t disappointed nor was I impressed.

We had breakfast here on 2 days because we were staying at Limelight. On 7/17, the chef preparing the dishes was Jared Becker. I had the boursin omelet, which was THE BEST omelet I’ve ever had in my whole life. The dish was wonderfully put together. The Chef is a magician And this is coming from a person who eats eggs 3 times a week.
We were so excited and came back the next day. However, there were different chefs making the dishes. Both my duck hash and my wife’s avocado toast were underwhelming . The hash normally comes with a green sauce which I only got a small splash of. Now I’m looking at other pictures of duck hash on this page and wondering about what I missed out on. The service was perfect – everyone from the hostess to the waiting staff were all amazing.

Visited here Valentine’s Day weekend, after staying at the Limelight hotel. My partner and I had brunch. Service was great, very laid back waiter. Open kitchen, where you see the chef cook, which I thought was pretty cool. Seating is spacious, cozy vibe. I wasn’t a fan of the French toast, but enjoyed everything else. Cute brunch place.
