I finally found a great meatball sub! Tender meatballs, fresh marinara and lots of whole milk mozzarella on perfectly toasted bread. I got the daily sub special: any sub, a side and a drink for $14.99. The side can be cheese sticks..yes please! Crunchy and packed with cheese.

All I can say is wow! The staff are wonderful and the food is amazing! I got a calzone and garlic knots ! Best one I’ve had in a very long time. Filled with ricotta cheese and a wonderful flavour .

I’ve always loved this place with a special place in my heart. I’ve been coming to Mario’s since day one at the original location before they put this location in Greensboro.
Their food is so fresh and delicious and pretty big sizes! Especially the pizza slices. It’s worth the money and they give drinks with everything which I appreciate. Prices are average like any other Italian place.

After seeing this place on TikTok I decided to give it a try. I went to the Friendly location. Huge mistake! The pizza looked burnt and it was total chaos. People were upset that their pizzas were taking so long. People’s orders were incomplete and they were complaining. Since I had not yet ordered I decided to go to the Wendover location. Jack pot!! No chaos or unhappy customers. Excellent customer service (Elizabeth). Pizza was great and not overcooked/burnt. I am so glad I did not waste my money at the Friendly location.

1) I made my ordered online but never received a email or text confirmation but saw my card was charged, so I had to call and verify they received my order and they said yes.
2) I schedule my order for 3:50pm, I arrived at 4pm and it was not ready I had to wait 20-25mins for my order and never received an apology for my wait.
3) When I got home less then 10mins later and opened the pizza it didn’t look fresh it wasn’t hot the chicken was cold, and the one pizza that had half extra cheese was the only part that seemed hot and half the cheese was on the side of the box.
To top it all off this cost me $73, was definitely not worth it and will not be going to this Mario’s again.

Food is delicious, especially the pizza— slices are HUGE! One of the few spots that have cheer-wine as a beverage option, which I love.
They do charge a 3% fee when purchasing with your debit or credit. I do not appreciate that at all. The responsibility of processing fees should not be placed on the customer. But unfortunately this is still legal in North Carolina. I dine where I receive points back for food, so choosing here would defeat the purpose.

This was our 2nd visit to a Mario’s location here in Greensboro and in our opinion, head and shoulders above the other one. We ordered ours well-done, IMO, makes it closer to authentic NY pizza, and it was cooked to perfection. We will be back.

Pizza per slice is huge and noticeably larger than other joints. Tends to have a light crisp on bottom, but foldable. It is excellent.
The cheesesteak sub is excellent. Perfectly toasted bread. Liberal amount of meat. I usually get just cheese and onions as this is enough. Grease and cheese excellence on a bun. I dig this immensely.
Has indoor and outdoor seating. Generally clean and relatively quick.

Today we ordered a chicken supreme with no olives. We came in looked at the menu and then ordered the lady taking our order was nice and patient. We paid with our card. We did sit down and have to move to a clean table. For all 3 of us it cost 31.83 for a pizza and a slice with 3 drinks. Our number was 525 they serve 531 and 532 before us. That is 5 orders behind us. After eating it was worth the wait,!
