Was accomadated for adding their boom boom shrimp, however doesn’t equate to the lack of attention to the request for rare to med rare protein cook request… steak was tough & very well cooked! Even if a manager ask is everything ok, no one and I mean no one! Want to say “my food is unsatisfactory.” Especially when you can see / make eye contact with the kitchen crew or chef… it’s uncomfortable for most people, I am most deff not one of thoes to GAF but certainly didn’t care for that situation. Glass was so cold the beer first sips is slushly not a gripe but a surprise / observation as some may dislike that. The shrimp was great but Asparagus was sadly fired had a more burned taste than a grill sear and was fiberously tough to chew it is asparagus but wow! Petite raspberry treat was very sweet lots of frosting.

UPDATED 4/20/25. Here on Easter Sunday as we were in the area. Still give 5 stars. Just want to note…. be sure to look closely at the hand held check out before you sign your name! There are 3 options for tipping. Our waitress chose the highest tip option for us! Luckily, I noticed it, as she hovered over me, but I changed it to 20%, instead of 24%! I don’t think waitresses and waiters should be able to choose their own tip %!
99 is our go-to when we’re in the Brattleboro area. it’s not fancy, but it’s clean, has very good service and the food never disappoints.

The general manager when I walked into restaurant rolled her eyes at me as she approachedme . I explained actions are louder then words.I said you are open untell 10:30pm is what the time says online. So i mentioned to my server I may order dessert So to make matters worse the server reminds me again that they close in 20 min as I was placing my order. I don’t feel very welcomed by restaurant staff and I guess it explains why there are only 3 people sitting at bar and 1 party sitting at table. You cant treat guest so rude and expect them to want to come back in and dine again. What ever happened to treating all guests kind from the min they walk in your doors untell they walk out it does not matter what time you close.

I’ve been going to this 99 since they opened way back whenever that was. They easily have the best boneless buffalo wings I’ve ever had. The blue cheese dressing is so chunky and creamy and the buffalo sauce has that perfect tangy buffalo flavour. It’s amazing how you can order them delivery and they’re still hot and crispy when they get here. My other favourites are the baked haddock, fried shrimp, and all star burger. The chopped sirloin which is a once a week special now is also a classic that I often find myself craving.
If you dine in, they have good cold beer and nice mixed drinks with popcorn on the table to enjoy. The atmosphere is nice and service is always on point.

Very unsatisfied! We live well over 20 miles away from the restaurant in NH. I got carry out and was missing food. I called and was assured I would have had a refund for my missing food by last night. However that was not the case and I still got charged the full amount, and have no pending transaction for the food that was missing. Very unsatisfied with this, it would have been one thing if I was local than I could have easily just gone down and got the missing food, however we chose to order from a place we love and drive the 20+ miles just to get an order that was missing food, be told by one of the people that answers the phone that I would get a refund and did not. Not to mention my child’s food was over cooked and some of my food was undercooked. Guess I should just stick to restaurants close to where I live from now on!!!

There was a fire/smoke in the kitchen which resulted in the fire alarm going off. The restaurant was evacuated, the fire department came and left, then service resumed. It took well over an hour before we were allowed back in and served – not by our waitress who we thought left altogether!
The manager was over – apologetic. We were very annoyed about the whole episode.
Too little food for the price, little service, too anxious to be served the bill. What little food there was, was good.
The background music was good. Didn’t appreciate the interruption. Maybe good cooks could be hired!

We stopped at the 99 Restaurant for a bite to eat while driving through Brattleboro, VT. We ordered the Vermont Cheddar Burger and the All American Burger entrees which happened to be served by Josh, the Restaurant Manager!—Very pleasant and truly seems to care that guests enjoy the food and their visit.
For dessert we enjoyed a Vanilla Sundae with a moist Chocolate Brownie, Oreo Cookies and whipped cream. The other dessert dish was Chocolate Chip Cookies topped with Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Drizzle and served on a hot skillet. Both were super delish!
—I’d also like to mention Allie, who was the Server for a few other customers who were seated in booths near ours. We couldn’t help but notice how attentive, kind and pleasant she was to her diners! Lucky diners!

For the area, the eating experience is generally above average and I rarely leave disappointed. However, depending on location, the music can be a bit cringe. I post this from the Brattleboro 99, where I was just forced to endure a lunch filled with early 2000s pop hits — just one upbeat, vapid, bland chart pop hit after another. I may have to bring earbuds in next time.

Late nite bite to eat with my family. Very friendliness atmosphere upon arrival, we dined in and were seated in a comfy booth. The service was fast pleasant, and the food was fabulous. And when we got the bill me and my husband could relax it was not costly.
