We were given a complimentary hummus and veggie appetizer which was so appreciated.
The Buddha Bowl was yummy. Protein, veggies and rice with an Asian sauce.
Happy to see a separate full gluten-free menu.
Tuscan Chicken was also very good.
Service was also great considering we were the only ones sitting outside. They even thought of bringing us more ice since our ice was melting in our waters. Very thoughtful.
We want to come back again and bring our friends who drink beer to try some of the local taps.
Google showed us restaurants nearby and based on wait time (none!) we drove a short distance to be greeted by the hostess “Al” – (don’t call her Alexa if there are phones nearby – What was her mother thinking 17 or so years ago?).
Al seated us right away and our server Moraya appeared momentarily. When we asked about GF items, she came right back with the GF menu. A big plus for us.
Asst Mgr Steven appeared with a GF humus plate – because we told Moraya it was our first visit. (It was yummy!)
Moraya brought our food promptly – my wife was delighted to learn the restaurant had a dedicated fryer for GF items so she eat some of the French fries included with my GF Fish and Chips.
My wife order Carne Asada tacos which were customized for her dietary restrictions.
Mgr Robert came by to check on us and we enjoyed learning about the restaurant and the efforts made to satisfy GF patrons and others with dietary challenges. Robert had a nice touch with customers.
The food was great, the staff were pleasant, attentive and helpful so we enjoyed our unexpected pre Valentines Night out!
Speaking of wings, we tried the Cajun and chili garlic varieties, and both were exceptional. To complement the meal, I had two sangrias and a January Skies cocktail, which were perfectly balanced and refreshing.
Our waitress, Reina, was fantastic. Attentive and personable, she elevated the dining experience. There was a minor issue with one plate in our group, but Reina and the manager addressed it proactively without us even mentioning it—talk about excellent customer service!
Union Grill and Tap is a must-visit for great food, amazing drinks, and stellar service. Highly recommended!
Went back for another visit:
Union Grill & Tap in Gilbert, AZ is my new favorite spot! We ordered the Brussels sprouts and 2 lbs of smoked wings; hands down the best wings I’ve ever had. The meat literally fell off the bone and was packed with flavor. I also had the Aperol Spritzer fish with a vegetable medley and coleslaw. Even though it was just one vegetable, everything was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. Excellent food, great atmosphere; highly recommend!
The staff literally could *not* be any nicer. The manager delivered a small platter of their fresh flatbread for us to try, when he heard it was our first visit.
The Coke is perfectly balanced, which you can appreciate if you’re a Coke connoisseur.
They have a secret menu too, which changes monthly and is curated by their chef.
Super impressed and we definitely plan to return and often!
We tried the coleslaw as someone on Google recommended and it truly was fantastic!
Seen in the photos: Carne Asada Nachos, El Jefe Wings, Steak Fries, Coleslaw and 2 phenomenal Cokes.
