UPDATE: the manager reached out and informed me that a handful of the staff was sick and had to stay home that day. He was very respectful and invited us back to give them another shot and said he would send a gift card. I have changed my review from a 3 to a 4, and upped service from 1 to 2. I hope to have a great experience next time and give them the 5 that I think may be deserved.
Food was amazing, I cannot complain one bit about the food. The atmosphere was great too, I cannot commend them high enough for this. Those two things would seem to make for a top tier review, but from the point of sitting down to actually receiving the food, over an hour and a half passed. I am not complaining about the personality or kindness of our server, as our server was incredibly kind. I am not sure if it was because of how packed it was tonight, or if the service is normally like this (this was my first time and maybe last). 20 minutes passing between asking if we need refills and actually getting them is crazy. Trust me though, I am the furthest from being a “Karen”, but waiting an 1.5+ hours to get your food is crazy and is legitimately the longest I have ever waited at a restaurant in my memory. I would say the manager made up for it with his walk around to every table to say “sorry for the wait”, but really seemed like a half effort attempt. Id love to know what the big deal was, maybe even in a response to this review. If the response is anything like the service tonight, I expect the response in the next 2-3 years lol

First time visiting, Sunday afternoon, so it was quiet. Lots of room inside, easy parking.
Good service, pretty standard bar/grill food, but the chicken and waffles were very good.
I’d return to try some of the other dishes, but it was a great first impression.

Start off with the positive; the food was fantastic. Politician pizza is great and we had a burger with bacon jam that was really unique and full of flavor. That saved this review from being one of two stars. For a brewing company it was truly sad how few beer were available. The waitress even commented that she had had a lot of upset customers regarding this. I have no idea what the situation is, but I had six beer picked out for a flight off the website and literally only one was on tap once we got there. We would have gone somewhere else if we had known half the taps were empty. Add to this extremely slow service. We waited over an hour for our food and they were slow. We’ve been here before, and we will probably come back again. But this was not a good showing.

First timers from out of state, and we returned twice in one week! It was great food. We weren’t a huge fan of some of our drink choices, but that is on us, not them. The food was on point, not one thing disappointed. Definitely 10/10 would recommend. Pictured are the banh bao buns. And our drinks.

Our server was great, she was nice. Food was very good BUT our food took an HOUR to come out. The place was NOT packed at all. The appetizers took 20 minutes for two baskets of fries also. Very unacceptable!! The server was very apologetic but no manager came over, no offer to give us a discount for waiting so long (we were fine to play for food but an offer would have been nice). Not good business practice.

This was the best dining experience I’ve had in a while. Madye was an exceptional waitress and I hope all their staff is just as great! Food came out rather quickly and tasted amazing. I was torn between two items on the menu and I decided on the pulled pork Mac n cheese. We will definitely be returning to try some other dishes!

Great beer selection.

Really disappointed with our last visit. Took about an hour and twenty minutes to get our meal. Grateful we ordered an appetizer of cheese curds, however they came out really oily and they looked they exploded in the fryer and all melted together. I unfortunately am used to a really long wait time at this restaurant but after waiting for so long the impossible burger I was served was cooked paper thin and burned to an absolute crisp on oneside. I respectfully sent the burger back and they made a fresh one in about ten minutes. The second burger was so close to being undercooked, and again paper thin, that it just tasted like mush and fell apart. Didn’t eat it and sent it back. I declined the offer to have anything else made, and they took the burger off our bill. I truly have no desire to go back to the restaurant at this point.

Food: 5 stars for the burger and scooby doo snack basket. 3 stars for Pub wings, which was described on the menu to be large (not really) and crispy (definetely not). The wings flavors were below expectations. The Korean BBQ could be more spicy. The sticky orange ginger needs more ginger. Wouldn’t order wings here again.
Beer: good selection. Ok but not memorable.
Service: quick and efficient
Bathroom: clean but could use fixing or upgrade
Atmosphere: great pub atmosphere. Good for families with young kids. Not loud.

One of the first 5-Star reviews I have given with 100% confidence – I couldn’t be happier with this experience!! We needed a place to grab some food after a visit to Family Fall Fun in Waterloo, and their vegetarian menu options and delicious sounding cocktails are what piqued my interest. They were rather busy on this Saturday around 8-9 pm, but there was also a fall festival happening right outside their front door that we were not aware was going to be going on. Despite that, service didn’t seem to be impacted at all, as we didn’t spend more than an hour there (one drink each, appetizer, meals) and the staff could not have been more hospitable and kind! Not only did a kind gentleman, who we assumed to be an owner/manager, stop by to check in on us and make sure everything was okay, but we had one of the most delightful waitresses I have EVER had at any restaurant. Thank you so so much to Madison (Madyson?) for being a sweetheart while you served us, I truly appreciate how much effort and care you put into it. I really hope the rest of the staff there is as wonderful as the two we directly encountered! The amazing food was just the cherry on top, I had the falafel Mediterranean Pita with a Raspberry Lemon Drop and my boyfriend got the pulled pork Mac & Cheese with a Blood Orange Mule. We were beyond satisfied and had more than enough for leftovers to enjoy later tonight. If you are a local or are just passing through Auburn, I would argue that this is a must-have to satisfy your hunger. Enjoy!
