A local Chincoteague favorite. Excellent specials – usually non-seafood American classics like fried chicken, prime rib, and beef dumplings at an unbeatable price and quality. Classic-style buffalo wings, daily vegetable rotation, and excellent fries. Plentiful dining hall seating, great for parties 1-14. Bar seating with full food service as well. Standard menu has plentiful seafood options. Tip: large parking lot behind the building. You can go next door to Island Creamery after your meal for fantastic ice cream.

In a quick weekend trip with my hubby, and at the recommendations of Deanna and Christina at Comfort Inn, we ate at Steamers for dinner. Shaina was our server for the evening and she was fantastic. She was very patient with my 100 questions. The one thing I have learned over my many years is to ask what locals love the most. She didn’t disappoint! We had the island crab soup, seafood skins, and I believe it was called the triple dream, or delight? Scallops, shrimp, and lump crab in a lemon and butter sauce. Omgee. We chose the coleslaw, which I am very picky about. It was good, has a sweetness to it so if you’re not into that then be forewarned. The regular fries and sweet potato fries were great. My hubby joked around at the end of the meal and asked why they had salt and pepper on the tables because the food has a great flavor! The price was your typical seafood prices, but not overly pricey like most tourism areas. The environment inside was so comfortable. They have a bar area and a seating area. Tons of TVs with several different channels on. There was a good choice of alcoholic drinks without being overwhelming. Food was hot and delicious. Service was fast and with a smile.

The atmosphere was a mixture like most sports grille restaurants, staff was friendly. One lady was holding it down bar and serving, great job. The shrimp could have been seasoned a bit more but it was still very good. The corn very well steamed. The fried shrimp were butterflied and good . The salad was fresh Definitely would go again. It’s by a hotel so the parking wasn’t a problem.

We had a great meal and the BEST server ever!
Stopped in on a Saturday night for dinner. We had Andrea as our server and she was amazing! Helped with some indecision on what to order. I had never had a hush puppy before and she brought out a few to try.
My daughter went with the pretzels for a snack and I got the Chincoteague fried oysters. They were great!
The restaurant is significantly bigger than I thought. Great ambiance and great staff.
I’d totally come back!

Steamers is one of my favorite restaurants on the island. The food is good. Expect to pay at-least $25+ per person. For two people our bill came out to $100, excluding tip. I recommend the Chicken Chesapeake. I feel like the crab dip could use a little bit more seasoning like old bay or maybe paprika. The service was okay, our waitress was pretty busy and didn’t check on us to see if we wanted any water or any additional mixed drinks (missed the opportunity for more sales from us buying drinks but is okay) , it happens seems like there wasnt alot of servers. Have not had a bad experience yet!

Finally visited Steamers and we weren’t disappointed. First thing, there’s a large parking lot behind the building, it’s not obvious at first, but it’s back there. On a Friday evening, it was only a 20 minute wait for a table. The inside is kinda sports bar themed, lots of TVs, playing various sporting events. The portions were really generous and everything was very good. Our waitress was super attentive, making sure we had timely drink refills. We really enjoyed it here.

Food was so good! We got the scallops entree with sweet potato fries. Largest and most scallops I’ve ever gotten in a meal and those fries were perfect. Calamari appetizer was fried perfectly. My friend got the tuna special which was great too. They made me a good mocktail at the bar too. Friendly service. And we walked here from our Cottages. Highly recommend.

Food here is great and reasonably priced. The steam pot is amazing and I highly recommend stopping by. Service was spotty because we were seated for over 20 minutes before anyone came to even take our drink orders.

If I lived on the island, I would be a regular here. I think what stood out the most was the service. We came here twice during our stay and had a very pleasant experience on both occasions. You have to try the Crush drink (pictured). They’re delightful. The “whipped” version was my personal favorite. I had the fried shrimp dinner (pictured), and it was wonderful. We sat in the bar area on our visits, but there is a spacious dining area if that’s more your speed.
