Absolutely outstanding experience.
We came for a family dinner and chose classic Escargots de Bourgogne, jarret de porc with morel mushroom sauce, and the traditional Coq au Vin.
The restaurant is small and very charming, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted and served with genuine kindness and care.
Every dish was exceptional — rich, perfectly balanced, and deeply satisfying. This is exactly how one imagines legendary French cuisine to taste. A heartfelt thank you to the chef for such wonderful food.
Our only regret is that we didn’t try more dishes — but that simply gives us a perfect reason to come back again

We had an excellent meal and perfect service on our first evening so we made another seven reservations for the two months that we are here! The menu is traditional Burgundian with an excellent range of choices and specials. The wine list is varied and the recommendations are appreciated. Definitely give it a try!

The wine list is well curated and fairly priced. Many wines are served by the glass, but they have a great selection of bottles at every price range. We let the staff choose and were not disappointed.
This is a place that makes it possible to enjoy the meal. It’s deliberate (slow, maybe if not what you are used to?). It’s thoughtful. It’s a real meal prepared by real people. It’s hard to imagine greater kindness. It’s a real treat if that’s what you’re into.

Amazing lunch with David our amazing host and Jean Micheal the very talented chef. Authentic French cuisine that has been made with love and care. We were extremely well looked after and and the food and wine selection make it a must if you are visiting Beaune. Word of warning – you need to book in advance as it is an extremely well sort after restaurant. The escargot we had and the pork knuckle was amazing. Will definitely be back one day soon, and recommending this place to our travel agent.

We were lucky enough to be in line right as they opened and got one of the few tables that were available for walk-ins and had an amazing meal! Every dish tasted like it was made with love and the dessert was phenomenal.

We started with escargot and I had beef Bourgogne. My husband had the veal special and we shared everything. Fantastic food but the lighting in the restaurant was very bright and. tables were quite close, which is. C understandable as it is not a large space. T urge meal was absolutely delicious but the bright lights took away from the atmosphere.

One of the best meals I may have had in France and I’ve come over here a lot. It’s hearty, indulgent and so tasty! Excellent wine list by the glass too. I can see why it gets fully booked. A must visit!

Our best meal of our trip so far! Had a great bottle of regional wine ! My husband had the burger and said it was outstanding! They were sold out of the citeaux cheese which was disappointing but the server recommended his favourite which was good! The burger was cooked perfectly medium! I had the boeuf bourguignon with home made tagliatelle ! It was absolutely delicious and you could tell it was made with homemade love! It’s a dish that transports you to Mom’s kitchen! We had a cafe as well. We have a second reservation for dinner the following day so we can both try a different dish! I can see why you need reservations and they were constantly turning hopeful diners away.
We returned the next evening for dinner and it was just as fabulous as the day prior! The wine we had was a recommendation on their menu!❤️ beside the listed wine! The younger server said it was an excellent choice described where it was from and that we were off to a good start!

We had an excellent experience at this fantastic restaurant! We had lovely welcoming cocktail and the escargot was perfection served with a lovely hearty seeded bread. We had some classic cuisine like beef bourguignon, pork knuckle and a delicious chicken dish along with a hamburger with smoked cheddar. Everything was on point. We wrapped up with pain perdu and a lovely selection of coffee desserts. Delicious and the service was impeccable! Merci!
