When this location burned down a while back I believe I shed more than a few tears. I had been coming here for years. Then the announcement came that it would be rebuilt and the excitement was everywhere!
The new building is modern (bummer… I’m GenX and we like our nostalgia) and very clean. The staff is crazy friendly and so helpful. The food is fresh and classically tasty.
My only complaint is the location, as has been the case for a very long time, is difficult to enter and exit from depending on the direction you are coming and going.
Yes, it is LJS, and yes, I am a proud member of that “secret society” that happily and proudly keeps them in business.

I went inside yesterday, 1/28/26, around 2pm to get some food and to pass some time with my kids. Larry assisted me at the register. He was very friendly and helpful. Made my stop a lot easier. Every crew member I spoke with were friendly too. Food came out quick; was hot, fresh and delicious. Would definitely go back.

The food and service was good. The dining area needs more attention to detail. There were cobwebs on decorations on the wall. Most of the tables were dirty, along with the floor. Went to get Tarter sauce and all the steel containers holding plastic ware and condiments were filthy. It doesn’t look as if anyone bothers cleaning them. They have dry splatters from customers getting condiments.

The service I received drive thru was very good! Very attentive, listened and apologetic for the wait time. I was more disappointed on the size of the piece for chicken. I ordered a #1 and a #12 with 3 piece chicken. The chicken was three small pieces the size of chicken nuggets. I don’t know what has happened but Ljs isn’t cheap and to be robbed on the amount for the chicken needs to be corrected. I don’t live right in town and I only make the drive to Temple and out of my way once a week. My daughter asked for the crunchies and didn’t receive it. I’m doubting to try again at Temple after today.

Ordered online for carryout. First time in a Long Johns in many years. Greeted with great friendly customer service. Made sure everything was good and ready to go. Everything was hot and fresh. We love the hushpuppies, and the waffle fries were a newer addition for us they were really tasty. Not many crumbs in the bottom like there used to be. The only complaint is the fish and chicken as always and always has been overly greasy.

Check your order. Apparently the staff can’t read. Good luck getting the right items if you use Uber or a similar service. We had to order three times to get the correct items as they kept missing an item repeatedly, but of course charged us for it every time. Once we called to complain to the store the manager played games and they were suddenly out of sauces… we won’t use this location again.

Staff are friendly and helpful.
What can I say but I love Long John Silvers. The fish is served hot and fresh. I love the little hush puppies.
If you’re craving some tasty and fried fish look no farther.
I know it’s fast food but sometimes you just have to have it.
We were so hungry I forgot to take photos of the food.
We had fried fish – Hush Puppies- and Crab Cakes.
All were served hot and fresh.

I haven’t eaten here in years. Decided to try it again and the food was good. It wasn’t greasy like it was before. It tasted fresh. Pleasantly surprised and will be going back.

The food was good but they’ve definitely made the portions smaller. The chicken planks were all curled up looking weird, now I know chicken moves around in the oil but that’s not how LJS chicken normally looks. I asked for crumblies and they were stingy as all get out. The service was good and the people were friendly and pleasant.

I have to be honest up front I am not a fan. Although my spouse is a prior employee from back in her early twenties and loves the place, so we came in for a meal I had a fish sandwich and hush puppies. For my mail the fish sandwich was wonderful hush puppies were terrible! Dry and no flavor.
