Was in town for a wrestling tournament and googled Mediterranean food near me and this was first on the list. We went after 7pm on a Saturday. You could tell they just finished a rush. They quickly cleared a table and sat us. The waitress gave us some suggestions and food came out quickly. Although they were out of shawarma for the evening and that’s what we really wanted. We got a sampler appetizer platter and the Ali baba special mixed grill and the 1/2 grilled chicken. The lamb chops blew my mind they were so good. The char on the chicken yet still so tender. Everything was so delicious! If we lived closer it would a go to for us.

I cried eating here…. Actually cried real tears from my eyes after each bite I took….
I am only in town for a few weeks and wanted to try food that was not fast food and am glad I came here. Everything tasted extremely fresh and flavorful and there was more than enough for one person. The staff were extremely helpful and kind as well.

A quick google search on restaurants in Bartlett Ali Baba Mediterranean. I am glad I tried it. I ordered the Lamb Chop and it was cooked to perfection! The Basmati rice was the most flavorful that I have tasted. Everything was delicious especially the dessert. I look forward to going back with my family.

We often come here on regular days because it’s one of our favorite restaurants in town. Yesterday we went for the Ramadan buffet. Even though we’d made a phone reservation, there was a mix-up and our booking wasn’t on their list—but the staff were kind and quickly found a table for us.
And wow!! the buffet was amazing, amazing, amazing. Honestly, you can’t try just one thing without thinking it’s delicious. There’s a great variety of options, from appetizers and main dishes to sweets and desserts.

I ordered delivery, the lamb, the baba ganoush, garlic sauce, hot sauce was amazing.
When we got to the Hummus, it tasted like Mayo, please tell whoever is in the kitchen to PLEASE STOP CUTTING THE HUMMUS WITH MAYO. Man, it really marks down the quality of the rest of the cuisine which was phenomenal. Hummus is such an important cornerstone of this kind of food, and to have it taste strongly like Mayo, because there is a significant amount of Mayo in it, is not good. We could not even taste the chickpeas. There was a dolop of green sauce in the middle which when you mixed it in the rest of the Hummus, it helped to hide the Mayo taste, but not totally.
I beg you please, stop putting Mayo in the Hummus. God Bless.

I went to this place twice. The taste doesn’t back the hype and the review. I found the food average and bland, with no flavor.
We ordered:
Soup of the day: lentil soup that i think was the best
Araby Mixed shawarma, blended and extremely dry. The fries tasted good.
Chicken Shawarma, extremely dry.
Chicken rice: It felt like the chicken was over-grilled. Could only taste the charcoal. The rice was good. The chicken didn’t marinate, so there was no flavor.
The kebab platter was ok.
The foods are priced ok. Overall, it’s average, not the hype.

– hummus was really creamy which was unusual for me. Im glad i gave it a shot because it was the best thing about the meal. So yummy and fresh.
– pita bread was not good. Hard, stiff, no flavor. I would get pita elsewhere to dip in the hummus.
– got the chicken and lamb shawarma. The chicken was dry but the lamb was really good. Order the lamb.
– rice was delicious.
– comes with sides of grilled tomato (half-warm) and “salad” which is easily forgettable.
I would come back here to try other lamb dishes and get some different sides.

Atmosphere is lacking, or at least on nights I went, but that will not deter me from their food. Just about everything I’ve had has been delicious. The hummus is creamy and delightful. I didn’t appreciate theirs until I went to another restaurant where it had such a bitter taste. The lamb chops are my go to! The rice is yummy especially with the garlic sauce or the sauce that comes with the lamb chops. Perfectly seasoned. The kibbeh is good. Tried the large appetizer, and while I didn’t enjoy everything on it, the stuff I did enjoy makes me want to come back. I don’t even like falafals but theirs is chef’s kiss. My only gripe is that the stuff grape leaves are served cold and do not have meat. A big turn off for someone trying it for the first time.

Amazing experience. The food is fresh, full of authentic herbs and spices and presented beautifully. Our group of 4 all left with leftovers because the portions are generous and fairly priced. The service by Weal was welcoming and friendly. He did a wonderful job making our meal perfect. The restaurant is impeccably clean, bright and appointed with curved booths, perfect for small or large group conversations. This is a favorite restaurant in Memphis!
