The service was good but the food, nope.
It was sooo damn spicy. Even with the curd, could barely eat (mind you, we are desi). The whole experience became bad because the whole time we were just combating the spice in both the items.
Also, bhature was not crispy.
I ordered the Kathi Roll, which appeared to be filled with a mix of three different curries that were not even properly warmed. The Thali included Kadai Paneer and Paneer Butter Masala, both of which were average in taste. The dal and rice were also below average, served with a mini samosa, some fryums, and a small naan cut into four pieces. As for the Chole Bhature, I would rather not waste time describing it.
To be honest, the food is not worth trying.
That said, the portion sizes are a bit small for the price. Each time I’ve come here, I’ve left just wanting a bit more food. The bowls are a bit more filling (the portions are better), but everything else is quite small.
When I asked for clarification, the server bluntly told me, “That’s what the boss asked us to give.” If I wanted a burrito, I’d go to a Mexican food truck. To market yourself as an authentic Indian establishment and then serve tasteless fusion leftovers is a total dealbreaker. This place is right by my office and home, but after this experience, they’ve lost my business for both team lunches and family dinners. Authenticity matters, and this isn’t it.
I ordered a vegetarian thali and guess what, the paneer tikka, saag paneer, the naan etc; all were not prepared and cooked in the restaurant. All the items were served from ready-to-eat food packets which are loaded with preservatives.
Initially, I had a doubt. But as I eat more, I was sure. Being native Indian, I know the difference between freshly prepared food and preserved food.
Kindly don’t do that, please.
Love your business. Love what you do to serve a better food.
Thanks
