Been eating here for years and the quality and service are just as consistent as ever. The wait was worth it and the food is so fresh. The coconut soup is amazing and it’s just hits the spot everytime. Make sure to add this to your locations for dining out.

This restaurant seemed dirty and not well kept. Our table was sticky. Not very crowded during our visit. The menu here is limited but our food was good with a generous portion. I wished that I’d chicken curry dish had some green veggies. They did not have enough staff and the staff that was there were not trained well and seemed lazy. Our server was friendly but forgot several items and seemed overworked while other staff members were simply standing around.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. I’ve only eaten at the downtown one before, but I love the atmosphere of this location now knowing what it’s like. Definitely a new favorite spot for my husband and me!
The staff were all so friendly, the portions are more than expected, and the flavors are next-level. If you want bang for your buck, go straight to Surin 280!

Hostess were very friendly. We seated right away our table, waiter is prompt to ask for our drinks.. right after we order our foods, i have few questions regarding appetizer’s, but seems he is so clueless. So disregard my questions we order our foods.. foods are shareable, huge portions food taste and quality are ok. Sashimi quality is ok.. i had better ones…. not coming back! Btw, my pineapple fried rice is dry it could use lil bit seasonings.

Nadia took care of us and it was beyond exceptional. Better than any service I have experienced in a restaurant. Food is and has always been good and the quality of the meals are consistent and delicious. Probably the best sushi I’ve ever eaten.

This is a wonderful place to have a great meal. The menu has plenty of variety. We ordered the coconut soup and crab angels as appetizers. The crab angels are crunchy with a nice filling, along with a flavorful sweet and slightly spicy honey? glaze. Excellent. The soup has a mildly spicy flavor with tofu, delicious. Pad prik pork is highly recommended with pork slices, peppers and lots of yummy mushrooms in a moderately spicy sauce. Lots of wonderful flavors! Highly recommended!

Pros:
– Service: The staff is attentive and goes above and beyond to endure the customer enjoys his/her experience. I ordered the stuffed shrimp with pork, which turned out to be battered deep-fried processed pork. I ate the fried rice but left everything else on the plate. The waiter noticed this and offered to bring me something else. I ordered the Thai-bbq chicken instead. While the dish resembled nothing like Thai bbq chicken, I sincerely appreciated the effort to go above and beyond.
Cons:
– Thai menu: None of the menu items is Thai food. Rather, they were excessively sweetened and battered deep fried versions of somewhat Thai ingredients.
– Japanese menu: I ordered the salmon sashimi. Instead of receiving thick cuts of salmon, I received a longer cut of the thin salmon that typically goes on nigiri.
Conclusion: Come of the ambience and service. Leave food expectations at home.

I love Surin 280. I eat there often. On my last visit, I decided to venture outside of my normal 5 entrées (the green curry is delicious). I decided on the garlic shrimp. They looked beautiful but tasted and felt like rubber bands. They were awful. I should have sent them back, but I hate sending food back. Everyone else loved their food. My appetizer was fabulous (pot stickers with red curry). This experience won’t stop me from returning to Surin 280, but I will never order the scallops again!

Food was good. We have ordered coconut soup which we didn’t expect this much big n it’s $15. We couldn’t eat much because of heavy soup. Soup is good but little watery with coconut flavour. The Thai BBQ chicken fried rice is good but expected more fried rice instead we got more BBQ chicken. Yasai Maki Susie is good though we tried sushi for the first time here.
