I am not a big Philly cheesesteak fan but I decided to try this place out after several people said it was really good. They were right, I got the #15 which is a cheeseteak with banana peppers and jalapenos and of course Fred’s sauce and it was delicious. The roll was stuffed with steak and it was perfectly cooked and not dry. The sauce was a nice complement to the steak and onions. The bread did not get soggy even for the last bite. The staff was very friendly and they did a great job cooking the food. Will be back to try one with Cheez Whiz to get the full experience.

This is the spot! The hoagie just melts in your mouth with steak. The combination was very delightful. I am telling you as someone who is philly cheesesteak hunter. This was top-notch flavor compared to some of the best spots in dfw area. Every bit was true flavor. This is a must try.

My husband and I had the 24 and 25 with Philly egg rolls and mozzarella sticks. Sandwich’s 10/10, mozzarella sticks 10/10(cheesy inside with great cheese pull), egg rolls 10/10 not dry at all not too juicy and not messy at all.
The restaurant staff were great aswell, checked in with us mid way to make sure everything was going great and offered some great recommendations when taking our order. Great atmosphere aswell.
I recommend and will make this a regular place in our restaurant rotation.

We ordered the Cheese burger and Philly cheese Egg rolls. While the burger was good and tasty, yeah girls blew me away! I love meat Eggrolls! And these with cheese were just want my Belly was looking for!

I’m not joking, this is the best cheesesteak in Dallas. Coming here for years, & it’s held consistently with being amazing. The lunch crew is always very nice, & welcoming. The place is clean & even though it’s a bit smaller inside, still plenty of tables to sit at. The cheesesteaks are perfect with the amount of meat to cheese, and mixing the cheese in. Onions are sliced thin so they have the perfect texture throughout.

Today my wife and I decided we wanted some cheesesteak sandwiches. We didn’t know where to go and so I did a quick Google search. Of the ones I found, Fred’s Downtown Philly stood out as having a large menu selection and excellent reviews. We got there before the noon rush and the staff was friendly and very helpful with our questions! Our Phillies were generous and delicious! And I loved the Parmesan French fries! We’ll definitely be coming back again!
Update: Fred’s has become our new favorite spot! Every time we come in we’re warmly greeted and the Phillies are always great!

As someone who moved down to Dallas from Philly, if you’re like me and feeling homesick go to Fred’s right now. So glad I found this place, they use actual Amoroso’s rolls and the #2 is an authentic cheesesteak (can’t say that about a lot of places in Dallas).
On top of that, the service by Chivonne and Brendan was amazing. Chivonne was super welcoming and hospitable and Brendan makes an extremely tasty cheesesteak.
My only complaint is that you guys are closed on Sundays because I wont be able to buy Fred’s while watching the game Go Birds

The price is perfect and reflects the pride these gentlemen take in their craft , the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing lunch, everything is exactly what getting a true Philly up north was like, took a few years since I moved here. But I’ve finally found the spot in DFW for my Philly fix!
