Well, I must say I was extremely disappointed in my visit today. Terrible service from waitress who never checked to see how our food was, if we needed anything, or why we were throwing food away instead of taking it with us. Ordered crab cake dinner and was served in a soggy plate or lettuce and some kind of liquid on the bottom of the plate. Waitress never asked if there was a problem, we had to tell her why we didn’t take the disgusting crab cakes with us. It is unfortunate, but we will never return to this establishment again due to the poor customer service and disgusting crab pancake. Attached are photos so people could see how bad they look and and what they were placed on/in. Would not recommend to anyone!

Meet up with friends for dinner. This is the first time for me at this location. Always a solid meal at Old Bag so this location didn’t disappoint. The Philly sub was great and I’m a big fan of their steak fries. They also have excellent fried fish and a decent Guinness on tap. Come for lunch for the soup and salad deal!

OBoN has all you can eat shrimp on Wednesdays. So, guess what I had? The all you can eat shrimp. But first we had the potato skins as an appetizer. Very good. 6 halves are what comes in an order. As there were two of us, we each had 2 and took home the other two. My daughter tried the buffalo chicken wrap. She could only eat half along w/ the thin French fries. Back to my order. Each order of shrimp comes w/ 10 shrimp w/ tails. Choices are grilled, blackened (Cajun seasoning), fried, and spicy fried. I had (2) of the grilled, (1) of the blackened, & (1) of the spicy fried. And I also had sweet potato fries and coleslaw w/ my shrimp. Everything was very good.

The atmosphere was chill. There was basketball games on the TVs and there was a good crowd when we walked in and when we left. Real pleasant and easy to hear each other talk.

The service was great. Destiny was our server and she was awesome. Took our drink order. Brought our drinks out and took our appetizer order. Came back a few moments later to take our lunch order. She kept the shrimp coming and the drinks filled. I tried the Ace guava ale and it was very good. Might be too fruity for some but I liked it.

The price of the meals was reasonable. $17 for the AYCE shrimp and $14 for the buffalo chicken wrap. The appetizer was $10.

Overall, it was a very good experience.

Sorry no photos to post. Thought of them after the fact.

I’ve dined here and at another location, but we decided to have a takeout this time. Of course, hot food was not hot by the time it reached home (approximately 8 minutes), so my fish in particular was less than desirable. Perhaps I should’ve opted for a regular fish fry…oh well. Judging from steak fries and onion rings (and of course, grilled fish), I really should dine in to have the best experience with food here IMHO. Salads and chicken wrap tasted very good by those who had them.

Excellent service and some of the best fish around. Food was quick and piping hot. Easy drink refills. Dining area was quite breezy in the winter with wind from the entrance, so dress warmly!!

Denise and the rest of the staff at Old Bag in Hilliard did a fantastic job hosting our charity event! Denise listened to our needs and came through with flying colors. We had about 50 people come through, and the appetizers came out very fast, and they were able to modify the apps to accommodate the large group. Drinks were served quickly, and tabs were taken care of with speed so we could move on to our next stop. Highly recommend this location for events, happy hour or a night out! It’s such a cool historic building in downtown Hilliard, also. Thanks Denise and staff!!

This spot was recommended by a good customer and friend. We enjoyed the fried pickles, fish tacos, and the fish and shrimp combo (Eddy style). The food and service were excellent. We even had a great conversation with Doug the manager
This place is doing things very well and worth a visit!!!!!

My husband and I are here last weekend on a whim. We’re new to the area and have heard great things about this restaurant. Our experience definitely exceeded our expectations! We both ordered sandwiches and the potato skins appetizer which was absolutely delicious. Before we headed out I ordered a milkshake to go. This was unexpectedly my favorite part. Literally the best milkshake I’ve ever had. I have been thinking of stopping by just for the milkshake, it was that good!

Outside of the delicious meal, the atmosphere was great too. It was clean and cozy. Perfect for a date or a night out with friends/family. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

It was great! I know it’s a chain but it was really good food. Clean and friendly and got seated right away. Service was perfectly timed. Attentive but not invasive. Seems to be harder to find that these days so a big plus to the wait staff. My thanks to them!

Food: I had a bowl of clam chowder, an order of fried pickles and fish and chips. The clam chowder was noted on the menu as a house recipe. It was very good with a lot of clams. Big pieces not the ones so minced up you didnt know if you got a bite. A bit thicker than I prefer but really good. Fried pickles were perfect. Perfect. Big pickle spears with perfectly crunchy breading. Best I have had in 30 years. The fish and chips were also stellar. At least the fish was. Perfectly cooked perfectly battered and perfectly seasoned. It is not my #1 favorite fish and chips (that is at Payne’s in Gas City IN) but for sure in my top 5. And the whitefish is not cod. Kind of a plus in my book if someone can make stellar fish and chips using something other than cod. The chips were steak fries and pretty average but that fish …..

Give them a try. I will go back. Lol probably tomorrow …

Good fish and chips. The fish tacos were pretty good and had a lil bit of heat which made it even better. $2 off beer during happy hour so not bad.
