Amazing Mexican food restaurant in Southlake Plaza. Loved it highly recommend. Becks was great waitress. Management followup too. Their service was too notch Houstons type process for service. Already talking about our next visit inviting friends and family. Food is amazing. Very fresh. I love the most they have steal with enchiladas. Chips are world class.

Probably the best food I have had in a very long time!! The service was excellent. The general manager, Paul Rodriguez, was visible the whole time we were there. He walked the floor observing, greeting guests, etc., making sure this gem of a restaurant continued to be a gem. Make reservations, lots of people know about this place!

Margarita was delicious and well balanced. The Mexican shrimp cocktail was heavy on the sauce and had very little actual shrimps that were served whole while the remainder of the ingredients were chopped. Avocado slices were difficult to incorporate into the whole but looked pretty… just wish the sauce to ingredients ratio was better because it was soupy. The smoked Achiote chicken was amazing, though!

OK, so my name is Patrick. I am Mr. Food review and I went to Southlake Texas to Muchacho’s today and had the absolute best service and experienced. I think I’ve experienced at any restaurant in the entire metroplex more or less just south Lake . Leo I will say this is a top tier person manager server he believes in his restaurant he gave me service beyond any level. I could ask, and I had the fajitas and wow that’s all I can say Mesquite grilled they look like artwork perfectly medium rare serve with a butter sauce it was mind blowing and caramelized, onions and peppers with green sauce and red sauce, just out of control and also the tortillas man those are made in house by Lady that makes them here every day all day long and you know it as soon as you take one bite I’m telling you you’re doing yourself an injustice if you don’t come here make reservations if you’re coming on the weekend, you will enjoy. Trust me all their plates are in insane. I’ve got you know. Educated on the place so I highly recommend it again thank you Leo. Leo’s great ask for him. He’s a great gentleman and again top-tier service and food.

Came in from out of town staying at a hotel nearby. Out of a lot of good looking options, I was recommended to check out Muchacho after being told it’s a truly scratch kitchen with really good Tex Mex.
The atmosphere is really cool and the service is great. My server Becks, was really awesome and walked me through the menu. After she told me her favorite dish was the El Chamorro pork chop, I decided to try it and I’m really glad I did. It was delicious and VERY hearty. The way sous vide and then crisp the pork reminded me of a couple of my favorite German dishes, Schäufele and Schweinshaxe. Very deep, hearty flavors and elevated here at Muchacho with the salsa verde it is served with. The chips/handmade tortillas were amazing too. 10/10!

What a great place! The food was high quality and the service was bar raising. Had a great experience at muchacho’s. The service was spot on and Jocelyn R, our server was tentative and had us drinks refilled before we needed them. She recommended the brisket tacos and wow! they were so good. Paul the GM personally stopped by to chat and was interested in what our experience was like and was generally interested in the visit. Granted it was our first visit, I will definitely be back. The ambiance was also worth the experience.

Finally made it here for lunch last Sunday. We had perfect guacamole, crisp skinny margaritas (on happy hour too) delicious octopus and al carbon tacos. Alberto our waiter was engaging, super knowledgable and just plain cool! Paul the manager stopped by to make everything was great, it was. Decor and atmosphere lively and fun. This is a must try!

Our favorite mexican restaurant by far!! Everything is made to order. The tortilla chips are so light and flavorful. The flower tortillas are made by grandma. The fajitas?? I can’t explain how good they are. Made from flop steak and cooked however you like (we do medium rare) plus they come with a white wine butter that is heavenly. A must if you’re in Southlake or anywhere in the metroplex!!
