Really elegant, swanky restaurant to enjoy a nice dinner in a quiet atmosphere. Our service from Mike was fantastic, very attentive and gave us so many great suggestions as well as nice conversation. Our food was amazing. The meatball appetizer, crab cakes, NY strip, all made to perfection. Save room for dessert! It is pretty pricey, especially if you are drinking some of their well crafted cocktails, but the quality is worth it.

Man, this was my first kind of high-end steak restaurant and it was amazing! The steak was worth every penny. The appetizers were really good!We had the escargo, calamari, scallops and meatballs. Scallops and calamari were the best I’ve ever had. I had the 22 oz prime ribeye and it literally melted in your mouth! Best steak I’ve ever had by far. All the sides that we had were great as well. Can’t complain. And to finish it all off. Try the espresso creme brulee with a cappuccino and that too was wonderful! I highly recommend trying out Malio’s! Also to top it all off the atmosphere was great! And the service was phenomenal. I forgot our server’s name but she was extremely professional and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back here one day.

We had an excellent experience with the service, especially from our knowledgeable and very nice server, Mike. He was amazing! And the owner Derek visited us frequently making sure we will doing good. We also enjoyed the various dishes including: The Shrimp Theresa, the classic American Cheeseburger, the French Onion Burger, the Steak House Salad, and the Malio’s Salad with salmon. I recommend to get the Shrimp Theresa as an appetizer for the table. There’s also a great selection of desserts, coffees, and wines, you can’t go wrong.

We went to this restaurant with high expectations to celebrate our anniversary, but unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. For the price, we expected something more upscale, but the food was just average — nothing that really stood out.
What made it more disappointing was that even though we mentioned our anniversary in the reservation, no one acknowledged it. Other places we’ve been to usually add a small touch like petals on the table or a little dessert to make the evening feel special. It’s not a big deal, but it definitely adds to the experience.
The location was great, but overall, the food and service didn’t meet our expectations. Sadly, we probably wouldn’t come back since there are better spots out there for the same price.

Overall was ok. For a 90$ steak it was tough. Wife had the lamb and was also tough. Also both meats were very salty. Highlight was the appetizers. Escargot was great.

In my opinion, it is not even close. By far the best and friendliest restaurant in Tampa, bar none. Family run, fantastic food, fantastic service and always greeted and treated with a smile. I have been here 5 times now and it never disappoints. Service is really impeccable. Mixed drinks perfect. Wine list, has it all.
Timing between dishes, never rushed but never forgotten about. For my $ the atmosphere is also the best in Tampa. Tables are NOT on top of each other as they are in Ocean Prime, etc. Tall ceilings, two levels, beautiful bar, never brushed against by the staff. While not totally quiet, there really is no high noise level and there is never an issue of noise interfering with discussion with your guests.
Of course, the main attraction, the food, which is amazing. THE best lobster, filet and fish I have had in Tampa. Sides are a perfect compliment. Desserts are as good as they get. People will complain about prices, but guess what, it really is not as bad as Palm Beach, Miami or NYC prices.
This has become my go to restaurant in Tampa.

Booked reservation through the restaurant for 4:30 p.m on Friday. I specifically wanted to enjoy Happy Hour to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with family members. On my way to the restaurant I get a call from the young lady that made the reservation telling me that they dont open until 5. Then, once we are seated told there was no happy hour. Several of the menu items were out. Our waiter was attentive and the food was good.

We dined at Malio’s Steakhouse yesterday and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The ambiance was quiet and romantic, making it the perfect setting for a special evening. The service was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly taken care of.
The steak was absolutely outstanding, tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, and the Jack Daniel’s steak sauce was bursting with flavor and paired perfectly. We also ordered sautéed broccoli, lobster mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes, and every dish was just as impressive, perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
The only thing to note is that finding the restaurant was a little confusing, as there were no clear signs to guide you in. Once we found it, though, the experience more than made up for it. Malio’s delivers on every level: quality, service, and atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

Dined here for Gasparilla so I am sure that heavily affected the quality of the experience.
First – the eacargot and drinks were great, that’s about where the experience ends.
Ordered crab mashed potatoes, jalapeño corn, and a New York Strip along with French onion and escargot appetizer. The escargot came out first, then the sides, then the steak main, and after requesting the soup several times it came out last.
The steak was super super rare and less than room temp (weird?) so I requested it be put back on to cook it to the proper temp. All of this transpired over the course of probably 40 minutes so by the time the steak came back , the sides were now cold. I requested the sides be reheated so they actually ended up bringing out replacement sides, except they were not the same sides they substituted the $28 crab mashed potatoes with regular.
Steak was not cooked well, overall I would say awful experience they did comp the steak but nothing else.
I suspect the experience is probably decent on the right day but that clearly was not the right day. The staff and management were well aware it wasn’t ideal so I am not a keyboard warrior who said nothing at the time. I would probably try it again but with tempered expectations.
