Had an early lunch at Habit Burger with my husband, and it was a great. We were craving big, juicy burgers, and they totally delivered. It was good! The fries were extra crispy, just how we ordered them. Ordering with the kiosk was super easy, and our food came out pretty fast. The place was super clean, which is always a plus. I had to try the place that’s taking over a former Denny’s close by in the coming year as It’ll give me a leg up on everyone else, the Gotta Habit for $10 hit all the proper notes from the Santa Barbara Burger that taste like my favorite local beef burger joint going fancy, to the delectable nugget that tasted good even though the ranch never made the bag to the oh so good deep fried green beans. In the words of the Terminator I’ll be back and this time hopefully a little bit closer to home. In n Out has some competition for my dollars on this one.

The best part is the fries and ranch, on the crispier side and the ranch resembles the kind you get from a small pizza place. Sandwiches are good too but could use larger portion of protein. Chicken strips taste good but nothing special. Curbside pickup hasn’t worked out well but if you get in-store pickup it will be on time. Parking is always packed. Overall a good place to grab some food, though it can get crowded.

The food and service were both excellent! I ordered two $10 Gotta Habit Meals – the one with half a Santa Barbara Char – and both were delicious. I got one of the meals for my mom, and she said that the patty was the best patty she’s ever had. The fries were really flavorful and the perfect texture for me, and my mom really enjoyed her tempura green beans.
I had gone in to the restaurant within 15 minutes of opening, so the atmosphere was a little “just woke up,” but the staff were all attentive, all working hard on the orders that had already come in, and had made sure everything in the restaurant was clean and orderly.

Look I’ve been to a couple Habit locations, but I’m a life long In N Out guy and I was never swayed by the other locations. But this place, this is one of those special fast food places with normal, nice adults working who are good at what they do and keep the place clean and well stocked. I’ve been here a few times, they literally know my order, like that level of service at a fast food joint is v v rare nowadays.
I highly recommend this spot. Shoutout to the owners, managers, and staff.

The wait time was 25 minutes and they got our order wrong. Didn’t give us the drinks I had to ask separately. Food was I overcooked, the chicken strips were rock solid. Also all the food had too much oil on it. They gave us 2 sauces for 4 people.

We are regular diners here but last night we walked out without ordering. There were two people cooking and one person on ‘front of house’ duties who told us we would have to wait quite a while before she could even take our order, looks like she had a huge box to fill for maybe a pickup or delivery. There was one other member of staff sat at a booth eating and reading a book. Terrible service, will not be rushing back. The place was almost empty so looks like it’s on the way downhill anyway.

Habit used to be good but it’s so bad now. The burgers taste like gasoline. It’s prolly the worst burger per dollar you can get out of all the major chains.
