Absolutely loved the short time I had at Tops! Service was phenomenal and the barbecue, even better! I was recommended the fries and pulled chicken sandwich. Both of which I absolutely loved! The wonderful gentleman behind the counter. Also encouraged me to try the baked beans which were a smash hit in my stomach. Cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re in Memphis, this is the place right here!!

Today I tried the loaded brisket fries and honestly they were some of the best I’ve ever had! The portion was huge and the flavor was absolutely incredible. Every bite was packed with taste, and I ended up eating them so fast it probably looked like I hadn’t eaten in days. They were that good!
The service was also outstanding. The young guy who took my order, Devin, was very friendly and helpful when it came to recommending items from the menu. His suggestions were great and his attitude made the whole experience even better. Huge thanks to Devin for the amazing service! I’ll definitely be coming back again soon.

On a scale of 1-10 I would give them a 7. Had the pulled pork sandwich and ribs with potato salad and baked beans. The ribs were very flavorful but I think it could have been cooked better. I will never forget “low and slow.” Seems like they used a shortcut. The ribs were gristly, and the fat wasn’t rendered well. Potato salad was ok, but I think it wasn’t made from scratch; neither the baked beans. The sauce was on point. There’s room.for improvement but over all its fair.

I paid $50 for two brisket plates with beans and fries via door dash. Got maybe less than a hand full of chopped brisket instead of what I ordered. And don’t bother calling to the store because it’s all automated and nobody answers anyway. Will not be back, second time I have been cheated out of an over priced order.

Today I went to tops and placed a togo order for 1 sandwich and an order of baked beans. I placed me order at 12:38 pm at 12:56 when the girl from drive thru came to hand out another togo order I kindly asked her to check on my order- which had apparently been sitting up in the window waiting on someone to hand it to me. She was kind enough to hand it to me. Both gentlemen who were up front were nice, however both seem to just kind of wander around even when customers approach. Over all not a good experience when you have a timed lunch break.

From Michigan. This is my first time here at this restaurant and I must admit, I was truly disappointed. I ordered a pound of brisket site unseen and a pint of potato salad. The salad was all right and the meat had flavor, but was dry and chewy so I ended up giving it to my two pitbulls. I could no longer chew the tough meat. It was almost as if I was chewing on dry cardboard. The cost for both these items was $32 I don’t think I’ll be making a second visit. The staff were great people though. Very polite and respectful.

I was very disappointed into the food I received. I ordered a Brisket meal with baked beans and fries. The fries were hot and fresh along with the baked beans. When I bit into my Brisket sandwich, it was cold like ice. I was very disappointed in the sandwich because I’m traveling from Memphis to starkville and was looking for a quick meal to eat before this winter storm starts. I had to put the Brisket sandwich up because it was cold and will have to find me some food somewhere else to eat at due to me traveling on this highway. I read some reviews and saw mixed ones but I just like to try things out myself. Baked beans, fries, and sweet tea met my expectations, but that Brisket sandwich was a thumbs down because it was cold and dry. Hopefully they can fix that because that was $15 gone down the drain smh

Got a half a slab of ribs and they was so tender i could just pull the bone out the meat with ease and it was so flavorfull with the memphis sweet sause and i also had the bbq pork fries and those was the best ive had in a very long time. Prices was resonable and the service was great with a very clean resturant and will most deffinatly come back here when im in town.

I stopped by Tops Bar-B-Q and ordered a burger with a regular beef patty and a good amount of brisket called the Policeman. The taste was okay — nothing bad, but nothing too special either. For $13, the burger felt a little small. Thankfully, I made it a meal, and the fries were actually pretty good.
The lady at the counter was polite and very nice. She even handed me the tray directly into my hands, which was a small but thoughtful gesture I appreciated. It made the visit feel a little more personal. I probably wouldn’t order this burger again, but I might come back to try something different on the menu next time.

Well, won’t be going here anymore – shame too.
Was such a nice place. Ordered my food , couldn’t hear myself think let alone the counter help taking my order.
They had the “club music” going full blast. Couldn’t even enjoy my food – which they got the order wrong.
I wasnt the only customer who noticed the extremely loud music – if that’s what they call it. Alot of people walked in and then left immediately. Hope the managements makes changes….. geeeezzzzzz
