Very welcoming environment and top tier food with very budget friendly options. The staff does their best to explain each dish when presented and were even willing to twist certain dishes. One example was the chicken Alfredo that most places mess up, for them though that wasnt the issue. Not too much cheese and not too milky. Perfect balance.

Really nice food. Should’ve been 4.5. I wanted Pulpo but a 30 minute wait so went for camarones. We were given a table looking out to sea which was beautiful. Not much choice for puddings with most options unavailable. Place was busy and lively and service friendly.

The staff is super friendly and performs the best service! We had breakfast here two days in a row, the food is very tasteful. if you want to make changes to the dish, they’ll gladly do that. We were accompanied by this huge iguana, which was really cool!

Ambar is the perfect spot in Chetumal poised for your sunset dinner with a nice breeze, good food and friendly service.
The menu was unusual and eclectic, I had a breaded caramel shrimp with sesame seeds that was slightly sweet and delicious. The shrimpies were plump and succulent! If you ate like this in the states it would cost a fortune.
Not only was the food good and the ambience great, but the staff was attentive and friendly. .
Ambar made our day trip to Chetumal a great success!

Great view and amazing staff. There is plenty of seating for small groups. We ordered the garlic shrimp and the chicken nuggets. The shrimp was great.
