We were seated immediately next to a cozy fireplace. Water and a breadbasket (warm brush bread) and a plate with olive oil, garlic and basil came within moments. Our waitress warmly greeted us with menus and a listing of that evening’s specials, and took our orders for cocktails from the full bar. Upon their arrival (superbly made), we sat back to enjoy the romantic ambience and subtle background music. After an appropriate delay to allow us to enjoy our beverages, our waitress reappeared to take our orders. A few minutes later, what arrived were generous portions of the best Caesar salads we have had out of many different restaurants throughout Chicago and the suburbs. Once we finished our salads, what followed were some of the best Italian cooking we ever tasted, even while traveling and dining at upscale restaurants throughout Italy. Pasta ala Nonna, Veal Marsala, Eggplant Parmigiana … the list goes on. The flavors were superb and perfectly balanced, with generous portions promptly served. We felt genuinely welcome, with the owner himself personally checking in with us to assure we were pleased with our meals and the service. All items were priced fairly, and the total bill was surprisingly lower than what we would have been willing to pay for the experience. We will definitely return again, especially once the weather warms up, to also enjoy the outdoor seating once the removable front wall is opened.

This is my third visit to Aliano’s.
Me and my six besties from childhood dined at Aliano’s this past Thursday evening. We were seated in the enclosed outside area, which was perfect for our group.
Our server was fun and very attentive, but not pushy. We were also assisted by another server throughout our evening and she was wonderful, as well.
Our food was very delicious, hot, well prepared and the specials were not the typical Italian fare found at other restaurants.
I had the lamb chops. These were not the baby lamb chops often found elsewhere. These were very nice sized chops and were absolutely delicious. I didn’t eat all of my meal and reheated the leftovers for dinner the next evening. They were even better!!!!
The only thing I would improve on is the sharpness of the steak knives. They are definitely dull, at least the one I had, and could use a sharpening.

On Sept 2023 my husband and I did not know where we were going to hold our intimate wedding party and lo’ and behold we remembered this little gem in Downtown Dundee! They were so helpful in organizing our wedding and all of our guests had a blast! We have been coming here ever since and recommend Aliano’s to everyone we know whenever we can! Definitely recommend trying their seasonal menu! The staff is always welcoming and it does feel like one big famiglia!

Had a new years dinner here with my family. They were extremely accommodating and attentive. The food was 5 star. The owner AJ was very helpful with our daughter allergies and made sure everything was safe for her. Will absolutely be back again!

We came to Alianos to celebrate Christmas Eve with our family. We had our almost two year old with us which can be quite an adventure. The staff was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate our little guy and make us feel at home. The food was delicious and the ambiance was festive and lovely. Our son was even gifted his first cannoli. We appreciate the kindness of the entire staff and thank you for making the holiday special.

I’ve come here before and the food is amazing, however, today we ordered take out through their chosen carrier, chow now, and once we got there the lady with glasses told us that there was nothing there for us. The issue is that she was rude and unprofessional. She was already pissy and when asked why they didn’t turn off the take out option she shrugged and at no point ever offered to make the food we ordered. This was going to be my boyfriend’s first time trying this place and she completely ruined it for him. We drove here and left with nothing. That lady really needs to learn some customer service. Mind you, they had just opened. What a shame.

I was astonished by the taste of the food. The flavor is so amazing! I came here with a friend and we got seated immediately with no reservations. Our server was really nice, however the atmosphere felt a little uncomfortable because of the stares we were getting from other customers and the employees. Perhaps it was because the restaurant wasn’t crowded at that time. I understand we may not look like the usual customers here. Anyways, my friend and I loved our food. The portions are worth the price. I got the Tetrazzini and a cucumber mint mojito which was really refreshing. Overall 4/5 !

My family hosted my bridal shower at Aliano’s this past Saturday, and it could not have been a more beautiful day! The service was actually out of this world. They genuinely focused on me, and kept telling me “what the bride wants, the bride gets!!” Their personalities were fantastic, and everyone adored the servers/bartenders.
We all had so much fun, and I HIGHLY recommend Aliano’s for all parties, especially bridal and baby showers.

Alianos is amazing. I think for every family birthday we have came here for the past 5 years atleast. I took my sister here for her birthday yesterday and were taken care of by hannah our server and chase the bartender, both of which were amazing. Hannah was personable and an uplifting server while chase also was personable as we kept having him make “suprise me” drinks and hand delivering them. I always recommend this restaurant to any one new to town and look forward to my next visit.
