The interior has a great “raw” industrial feel with fantastic indoor and outdoor seating options. The only major drawback was the music volume, which was so loud it forced patrons to shout to hear one another.
The culinary execution was poor. My lunch partner ordered a poke bowl which was bland and flavorless. I had the chicken dish with corn, zucchini, quinoa, and a chimichurri sauce. The dish was overpowered by what tasted like balsamic vinegar. The server specified it was red wine vinegar, but the acidity was overwhelming.
The $17 blackberry basil drink was the biggest letdown. It was clear and tasted like straight alcohol with zero blackberry flavor; I managed two sips before abandoning it.
Four different employees attended to our single lunch visit (hostess, food runner, drink runner, and main server). While everyone was polite and service was efficient, the handoff between so many people felt a little disjointed for a casual lunch.
The disparity between the price point and the quality of food was significant. For context, I went home and ate a $3.99 prepackaged meal from Aldi which also featured a chimichurri sauce—that frozen meal had significantly better flavor balance than the $20 restaurant dish. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend the food here.
Humans food is good but maybe ask for any horseradish sauce on the side for those dishes that have. Eg. Beef Stroganoff.
The beets beat Brussels sprouts, and the steak is surprisingly well-cooked and lightly seasonedm. Though rarely perfect, good rare is good eats. Parking can be a pain but that’s normal for the area.
The service and environment was perfect.
