Food and service is amazing! Drinks are not over-powering with cheap alcohol. I will not be eating at any other Mexican restaurants again. If you go here, you won’t either. This will forever be my Mexican food go-to in Jacksonville!

My husband and I dined here last night for the first time. The service was wonderful, our server (apologies for forgetting his name. He was an older gentleman wearing a hair net) was very nice, very quick and attentive especially on a busy Saturday night. However, I don’t think we’ll be coming back. They have some nerve for the prices of food and drinks. I had the taquitos appetizer for my meal which was $13 (that’s reasonably priced) you get 4 with your choice of chicken or beef, which I got two of each. In my opinion the shredded chicken and beef seemed way overcooked and just dry. Not very flavorful. I put queso on it so that made it a little better. The queso was $10 and it was good but came out cold (we didn’t complain) and overpriced for the amount you get IMO.
I ordered a jalapeño margarita ($15) not the best margarita, the presentation was nice but not tasty. Not sure what they use for sour mix but Cantina Louie makes them way better and cheaper.
My husband got the Birria tacos ($16) and they were nothing special. He had two Modelos and I had one. Total came to $77.40 if you pay cash and $80.50 if you pay card. So you charged us $3.10 for paying by card?
Overall 2/5 and the two stars is just for the service. Way over priced for bland food. This restaurant owner just seems very greedy & the card fee was the icing on the cake.

There was a brief moment where that wait to receive water took so long that I considered leaving to another restaurant and I should of. We got our table quickly and got nachos promptly after that I studied the menu like a calculus test.
Salsa was very tomato-liquid. The house margarita special was tasty yet lack of attention to their own special led to being overcharged which I had to flag down a waiter to assist with.
My tacos had some teeth rolling fat that I needed to pull which lessened my appetite. The rice and beans seemed like overcooked and/or drier than most served plates and was served in an odd order.
I cannot recommend based off my experience.

The restaurant wasn’t very busy or under staffed. The server took my order quickly and the food was delivered in short time. After that, no check in, no inquiry to if I needed anything else.
Once I finished my meal, plates stacked to the side I waited twenty minutes, no inquiry about dessert, more drinks, etc. Finally I flagged down a greeter for my check.
It wasn’t a good experience overall. Very little customer service.

The servings are very generous, great flavor.
But today the Orchata drink tasted watered down and the salsa dip “Does not taste the same.” Like too much Adobo was added it overwhelmed the taste of the actual salsa.
I do hope the can go back to before on these items.

My wife and I came for a small bite and were overwhelmed with the size of our portions. She got the shrimp soup and I chose the taco salad with ground beef. It was all very delicious.

This is the second location I visit, and they don’t disappoint. The food and service were excellent. We were seated promptly, and our server was very attentive. The food and drinks were on point. Generous portions and reasonable prices. The menu offers a kids friendly and vegan options. I recommend “Their Passion Fruit Margarita”
