Been coming here for years.. food always on point. Service is good and fast. Friendly staffs. They are expanding their space which is so exciting! I love the mojarra frita which is the whole tilapia fried to perfection! The chips and salsa here is by far better than other places.

Overall, I will definitely return for more. The food and drink are on point. BF said his steak burrito and strawberry smoothie are good. My fried tilapia is scrumptious. I asked for no french fries for my fried fish so the staff gave me more rice. The house margarita was good. The shrimp ceviche was tasty as well. Once order was placed, the food came out quickly. Facility is clean and nice decorations! Kinda of remind me of Old Town San Diego.

A cute spot in downtown Lowell, I got a bunch of takeout, burrito, tacos, chimichangas all are very flavorful. The staff was kind and helpful food came out pretty fast. Very filling portion sizes, definitely will be back soon

I’ve been coming to El Potro for years, and the food and drinks are always consistently great. The complimentary chips and salsa are a perfect start to every meal. They recently expanded into the space next door, adding a large new bar, TouchTunes, and multiple TVs, which really enhance the atmosphere. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and on point. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a nice, refreshing frozen margarita—you won’t be disappointed!

To get a “true taste of Mexico” you got to visit El Potro Mexican Bar & Grill. I stopped into their Lowell location last week and they play to win. THE BEST Birria Tacos, with amazing consume. THE BEST homemade tamale’s in a corn husk and steamed, great margaritas and they even make their own sour cream themselves!

Visited El Potro with friends recently. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Food is really good. I really liked our server however I think she got really busy because we had a couple of forgotten things like reorder drinks and our tortillas. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and will try again.

Food was very good, we really liked the chicken relleno and the margaritas were very good. Both the salsa and guacamole were spicy and delicious. Large portions for decent price, we really liked it.

Such a fun place! The interior is colorful and a bit over the top (but in a good way), and the margaritas were perfect. I highly recommend starting off with one of the tamales, they were incredible. I had the encheladas de mole which were really tasty, but i got to taste the chimichanga with pork carnitas as well, and that was out of this world.
