Since posting my original review, no one has been able to help me. I have still not been able to speak with the general manager at this location, and Chipotle Cares has been a nightmare, offering no real assistance or resolution. Instead of issuing a refund, the manager charged my card again, and I ultimately left the store with no food while being charged twice. Which was done intentionally and on purpose, the manger name was apparently “Ana” which could be a fake name , you can’t talk to anyone ! An actual real person, I am still out of my money and now have to dispute the charges with my bank. This entire situation has been handled very poorly and remains unresolved.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at Chipotle today.

After placing my order, the cashier forgot to put my son’s chicken bowl in the bag. I didn’t realize this until I got home, which meant I had to drive 30 minutes back to the store with my two younger children in the car. This mistake was not due to anything I did there was no wrong order placed, no special request confusion, nothing on my end.

When I returned and politely explained the situation, I asked if my food could be remade since it was now cold from the long drive back. The employee at the register refused and said, “No, I’m not making it over. I threw it in the trash and I’ll make that one over.” There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, and she was giggling while I was explaining the situation to the manager, which felt extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.

The manager came over, and while I explained that I had wasted gas, time, and had my children with me late at night due to their employee’s mistake, there was still no empathy or accountability shown. I felt humiliated and embarrassed in front of my kids.

Mistakes happen but how they are handled matters. A simple apology, compassion, and basic customer service would have gone a long way. Instead, I was treated as if my inconvenience didn’t matter at all.

This experience was unacceptable, and because of it, I will never return to this Chipotle location. I have never been treated this way at any other restaurant. What I asked for was reasonable, and the lack of professionalism and sympathy was shocking.

Buyer Beware
I went to the Chipotle at 7049 Arundel Mills Blvd, Hanover, MD 21076 and ordered a carne asada bowl. When I saw the portion size, I immediately asked for double. Even after that, I left feeling shorted.

As an experiment, I went to the nearby Chipotle at 1622 W Nursery Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 and ordered the same thing, this time without asking for extra. Interestingly, Linthicum gave me the proper portion size right away, making the Hanover experience feel downright laughable in comparison.

Yes, Linthicum charges about 30 cents more, but I would rather pay that than feel shysted.

These two employees failed to do their job instead of filling orders they laughed at how unsanitary or old the food on the buffet was. Not only did they point and laugh and strug their shoulders when someone asked for something but failed to explain to other staff their concerns. Be mindul of the other languages customers know. 0/10 won’t be back.

I tried not to complain but what I am about to say has happened so many times, that at this point, I can only assume it isn’t a mistake.

Every time we order delivery from this location, we order burrito bowls. They never make the rice properly (no lime,salt or Cilantro) and the portion sizes are SMALLER THAN NORMAL. The chips are usually not made well either. I’ve gone to other locations and get proper portions and have the rice made properly. There are also times when items are missing.

I will say that there was a time (last year) that the food was pretty good. Not the case anymore. Save your money and go to a different location.

honestly i been trying to call for 15+ minutes and have gotten no response at all to ask about a ring that may have been lost at this location . Online it says they are still open and will be open till 11. on top of that i went to this location around 4:30 today and the food was cold, they gave me the wrong meat , and i honestly have never had this horrible of a bowl in my life from a chipotle and the fact you guys didn’t answer the call even though it was before closing just makes it hard for me to ever want to go back.

I’m going to go in order the food what’s good not sure if it was a language barrier or what but they kind of didn’t understand a little opposed to a lot. The atmosphere was uncomfortable especially when you’re being solicited right in front of the store. Not being biased to this one location it appears that multiple Chipotle locations having problems soliciting. I am texting this review from my bathroom as I reached home no less than an hour later I have diarrhea uncontrollably with abdominal pain beware.

I didn’t even know that there was a chipotle close to where I live over here near Arundel Mills shopping center I have used a delivery third-party to deliver from Chipotle and every time I have received my order everything was there. The portion was more than enough sort of like double the portion and everything was good and hot so I give this Arundel Mills chipotle 5+ stars just want to say thank you for giving such great customer service.

Edit Aug 2022: what is with the early closing times…if open until 10p, closing by 924p is ridiculous

Very spacious inside, outdoor seating available. Layout and foot traffic pattern makes sense. Food was hot and fresh. Service was good. But the last two times I’ve been they have had supply issues. One for soda. The other hot salsa.

I’m biased because I have an unabashed love for Chipotle. Seriously, I’m unpacking with my therapist why I dig it so much. Anyway I digest… However, the staff here was very friendly and accommodating for request for putting the hot sauce and tomato on the side. So I definitely recommend next stopping by this one.

Update: As of 2-16-25 there has been NO RESOLVE! Chris, which I assume is the manager of the Hanover location attached a link to contact, and OF COURSE it goes to that ANNOYING robot AI customer service form! Where is the LIVE help!!??? Over it! Thanks for NOTHING!

To say that I am BEYOND irrate with this awfully made bowl is beyond words! I ordered delivery through the Chipotle site which I THOUGHT was another location! I did NOT choose this Hanover location, it was chosen for me! I was on another locations site and from their site i chose delivery. Ordered a steak bowl with with extra steak ($7.15 extra)..extra guac ($3.60 extra)…WHERE WAS ANY OF THIS!!!!! I AM DISGUSTED THAT THIS BOWL COST ME $25!!!! FOR WHAT!!!!!! Literally had to SEARCH for steak..you see a FEW specks! SEARCH for the guac..i could barely see!!! SEARCH for beans..again..you see a FEW specks! For it ALL! I basically had a bowl of rice, lettuce and cheese! This was pure THEFT!!! Bowls usually can be two meals…NOT THIS CRAP! I only go to a few select Chipotle’s…NEVER here! Lessoned learned using their app, they choose for you i guess! Upon opening this whatever you call it i IMMEDIATELY forwarded a complaint to customer service! And will not stop until a resolve is had! I know, i’m griping over $25 but WHATEVER! Some folks might not have that to throw away! So if they were to receive what i did….SHAMEFUL!!! DO BETTER HANOVER! Don’t know if the pictures would do any good but hopefully it helps someone! ZERO RATING IF THERE WAS AN OPTION! Rant complete!
