In 1950, with a $500 loan from his father, Bill Miller opened a small poultry and egg business. Three years later Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. Today Bill Miller is a family owned and operated business with 77 locations in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. We take pride in cooking all our barbecued meats in pits smoked with 100% live oak wood. We offer a variety of meats such as brisket, sausage, bar-b-q chicken, pork spareribs, turkey and fried chicken. We specialize in the baking of breads and pies made fresh daily. They served me bugs!!!!
I went to pick up food for my lunch break and when I got my chicken I noticed black spots it’s a good thing I peeled the skin off the shecl because underneath the batter was flies I was even more disgusted when they asked to remake it knowing it was going to come from the same batter they used before DO NOT EAT HERE!! CHECK YOUR FOOD!!!

Stopped in to grab a quick bite to eat before heading home. The staff was very polite. The new manager Ms. Potts was super helpful. I couldn’t finish everything and she noticed and brought me over some to go items so I could take it home for lunch tomorrow. I’ll be getting dinner her more often.

It had been a long time since we had been to this Bill Miller, and this is what we got . Bill Miller used to be my favorite place to go loved the chicken. But not so much today. The green beans were cold, but I ate them, but we had to stop the raw chicken. My boyfriend told the manager I guess he brought more out. No, I am sorry, what else can I do? I will make it fresh, nothing, and the one he brought out was not freshly made. When leaving the table next to use was having the same problem. Jacob was absolutely wonderful. He is the most polite, respectful, and professional manager I have ever seen. He answered all of my questions and concerns while making sure the people in line in front of me and behind me were also being taken care of. Everything at this Bill Millers is amazing. My friends and family come to this Bill Millers regardless of how far away because you won’t find a better store. The cooks are the best, the barbecue is fantastic, the chicken and potato salad are mouth watering, and the poor boys are to die for! Thank you Jacob!! Thank you team!! Thank you Bill Millers!! Wish I could give more then 5 stars!!

This location was our go to for a quick and consistent togo. On this particular occasion, After getting home we noticed a dessert item missing. Go big deal, call to inform and spoke with a Mr. Martinez and said to just bring the receipt upon our next visit. Great right?! Nope…. On our next visit I did as instructed and was denied by a R. Don’t go to this location. Every time we go here is a disappointment. The food quality you get back is not worth what you pay for along with taste. They always seem rude and not wanting to work. If I could leave a review with no star I would.

I’m for lunch. Orders a 1/2 lbs brisket, 1/4 lbs sausage and tea. Total was $15.59. Kind of surprised. I usually get a 2 or 3 meat plate with sides and I don’t remember it being much more than this, I think it may have been less.
Service was fast, staff was friendly and upbeat. The brisket actually tastes smoky which is a nice change when I have eaten at other Bill Miller’s. Usually the brisket just seems oven cooked without a smoky taste.
Condiments were next to the register, not out in the dining area as I have seen at other Bill Miller’s.
Overall a good lunch. I would recommend.
