Came here in November to have a last date before becoming parents. Have been here a few times before but had not left a review.
Food: was amazing. I had a calzone and it is big enough for two people! We had an appetizer (garlic dip) and it was perfection! My husband had a pasta dish (I think) and it was delicious. Have had other pasta dishes and they have not disappointed either.
Service: our waitress was amazing. She was so kind and offered us recommendations for everything.
Atmosphere: like I said, we have been here before on busy weekends and it’s recommended to have a reservation for sure, but this time we went on a Tuesday and it was super mellow. Would recommend during the week if you could.
Overall: will be back!

My daughter and her mother brought me here for Father’s Day dinner. It is a great place, small, so make sure to make reservations ahead of time. Though it did take a while to get seated and get drinks, I’d say overall a great recommendation for Italian food. My daughter had the Cheese Ravioli e pomadoro, can’t go wrong with Ravioli with delectable, her mother had the Braised Beef in Polenta that was to die for as that beef was so tender and it paired very well with the polenta, and I had the Wild Mushroom Black Truffle Risotto that was so amazingly delicious, I left that plate trembling

The Real Deal is The Place, top to bottom a solid Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was a true Italian setting with an inside and outside feel all inside of a one indoor space. The service was pretty good, keeping drinks full slowed towards the end of meal service. Now onto the main event, The Food, started with the Brushette that was well-rounded with fresh mozzarella cheese only needed a bit more of the tomato blend on top 8 out 10. I had a Chicken Marsala with homemade noddles which was amazing 9 out 10 only reason it wasn’t a 10/10 was I wish for a bit more of the amazing flavoring/zest on the chicken. Another dished sampled was Clams e Linguine with prawns 10/10 best clams linguine I have ever tasted, amazing flavor and fresh ingredients. Each meal served with delicious bread and oils. Must try!!!

Just had a worse experience ever with my husband. We had a 6:30pm reservation. We arrived on time. The hostess informed us that there were no tables available, while we saw a few tables open. She told us that we could wait to be seated at the bar. The bar had one seat open. But when my husband asked a female customer if I could sit there, she threw her purse there and said that her girlfriend is using it and she is in the bathroom. There were no other areas where we could sit and wait so we stood by the bar. 15 minutes later. The girlfriend walks through the front door and sits in the empty seat that I was trying to sit in. At this point we are getting ready annoyed as we are watching other people getting seated before us. My husband approached the manager at the bar and asked nicely why are we still waiting and not getting seated. He scanned the restaurant and told the hostess to sit us at the tiny table near the bathrooms and the kitchen. This was 20 minutes after our reservation time. We politely declined as we refuse to be treated like that. PS…. My husband is African American and we were in downtown Roseville, where there are zero African American people. This was definitely a race issue.

Food was decent.. what you would expect for italian food. I found our server pretty rude though and I would dread him coming to our table. Each time he came, he said something snarky. Not sure if it was supposed to be as a joke? Either way, didn’t enjoy that experience. He had a mustache (pretty cool looking one)

Made reservations online easy enough. When we arrived we were tucked in a very tight corner. The polenta fries were good, the homemade clams were overcooked.. nice size shells but meat was size of a dine, dry, and chewy, asked for no croutons on our salad…received with croutons. When we pointed that out to the waitress she said sorry but didn’t exchange it lol. In her of Defense, I had already served a small portion of salad onto my plate. We both added extra shrimp to our dinners and the shrimp were very dry and overcooked. The bread was good. Will not be coming back, will not recommend. Reservations were at 645 and they sat us right away.

Had a disappointing experience at The Place in Roseville. From the moment I walked in I was looked down upon. The service felt performative rather than genuinely welcoming. I wasn’t dressed but was wearing expensive winter gear. Despite multiple open tables available, I was placed directly in the middle of a main walkway. Keeping in mind that this was a Sunday night about an hour and a half before closing.
The staff’s demeanor was technically polite but came across as forced and uninviting—more transactional than hospitable. Small decisions like seating matter, and this one set the tone for an experience that felt inattentive and poorly thought out.
Overall, this was not the level of professionalism or guest awareness I would expect, and it’s not an experience I’d choose to repeat. I did not east here as a result of my interactions and am not sure that I would try going back.

We stopped by before this place opened and were intrigued, so we made a point to come back once it did. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start.
There are no servers—you order and pay through a link online, which made it feel more like a diner or fast-casual spot rather than a restaurant. Yet, the prices don’t reflect that at all. We were served on paper plates with plastic cups, which felt cheap considering how much they’re charging.
Another letdown: they don’t serve ranch, only blue cheese, which was unexpected and honestly strange given how common ranch is as a dressing option.

Amazing Italian cuisine! Fabulous service! Great live singing, that just makes the atmosphere incredible! It has become mine, and my lady’s FAVORITE PLACE! Since everything is so good, I personally will be making my way through every dish on the dinner menu!
