Elevated pizzeria where the wood-fired pies are topped with unusual, locally sourced ingredients.

If you like thinner, yet hearty crust pizza, Paulie Gee’s is your place.
The pies are mid-range in terms of price. More expensive than your garden variety pizzeria, but better value/quality than some places I’ve been farther south in the city. The crust had great crunch + chew, sauce tastes extremely fresh, and the mozz on top is def the good stuff.
The atmosphere is really nice to just idle with good company, especially since they’ve got a few interesting cocktails you can try.
If you love pizza, definitely check Paulie Gee’s off your list.

This is a great local pizza spot. The pizza is fantastic but also the staff really make you feel welcome. You’re greeted when you walk in the door, your server is attentive, and they thank you when you leave. We’ve been multiple times and always have a great experience. The pizza is simple but also super flavorful. And they sometimes have movies in the back room which I have not taken advantage of but I love the idea of it. This is the kind of place that’s hard to put into words, you just need to experience it for yourself!

Really great pizza spot, we sat outdoors as they had this nice park bench set up in front of the restaurant. Also, I have been told that when the Brick Ovens are on inside it can get incredibly warm due to the heat of the ovens.
We got the Life of Brian pizza with garlic and half pepperoni – it was super well cooked, light, and crispy. I think my only gripe with it, was that it was a tad oily. We also got a Salad #1 which was filing and good, but I would say it was like 90% spinach vs other ingredients.
The service was great especially considering there was only one waitress to serve the whole outdoor area.
Definitely would come here again, and a great spot to get pizza in Hampden!

One of the best pizzerias in the area. I just wish they’d bring back the wood fired pizzas daily or at least offer the Neapolitan in their electric oven.
Edit after a second visit on wood fired night. The pizza is still excellent! The service was a bit cold. (It was that way last time, but I thought it was one off before). The salad dressing was incredibly bland. It just tasted like plain olive oil.
Also, they were out of their margherita pizza (Which is like a steakhouse being out of steak). Apparently it’s because they use smoked mozzarella instead of fresh mozzarella and they ran out of the smoked. But they refused to just make it with fresh instead for some reason.

When I read that this was some of the best pizza in BA this pizza connesoire had to check it out. The pepperoni was quite good. Crispy crust, great flavor. The two bites of the cheese that actually had cheese on it was quite good as well. When plating a slice they need to actually look at what they are serving. As shown in the picture the lack of cheese on my one slice was very disappointing.

It has been too long! Finally able to stop back at Paulie Gee’s for a wonderful family dinner. It was a nice surprise to walk in on a Friday evening and find no wait for a table! Exactly what we needed due to a hangry 9 year-old.
Service was efficient and friendly. The pizzas were outstanding. And the overall atmosphere was lively and fun. We ordered a pizza for each of us so that we could share all the different options.
The pizzas we got were….
Cheese only.
Brisket (bbq sauce, aged mozzarella, fresh mozzarella & brisket with post-oven pickled red onions and a drizzle of honey-bourbon reduction).
Hot Child in the City (Italian tomatoes, rosemary, pecorino romano, parmigiano-reggiano, thinly sliced red onion, sweet fennel sausage and hot chili oil).
A wonderful dinner makes us want to be sure to come back sooner! Thanks!

I’ve been so so in this place since moving into the area 5 years ago. I remember trying it and thinking this is overpriced basic pizza, and essentially never returned. After a recent trip to the Philly location and long chat with the bartender,I learned more about the history behind the name and pizza shop. Now the pizza in Philly was great and reminded me of pizza back from NYC. So I decided to give this location another shot as it had been some years and I ordered single slices which were actually pretty decent last month. Today I ordered a pie and received super thin, barely edible crust that caused my jaw to hurt, grease filled with barely any cheese on it. If it wasn’t for the added hot honey, it likely would’ve been inedible. Idk the experience has been too iffy and i wish Hampden would get some better pizza shops.

This was genuine the worst dining experience I’ve had in my life. Let’s start with getting inside. There was no way to tell who actually worked there and who didn’t. No uniforms or name tags. The lady who told us where we could sit looked like she just got off of a couch from a living room. We found a place in the back, in front of the bar. We wanted to go to the bathroom, for which there was no signs other than two heavily eroded tape arrows on the ground. For the Men/Women signs they apparently used Star Wars characters’ silhuettes, impossible to tell who. Another customer asked me if that is where the bathrooms were. The hallway walls leading to the bathroom were covered in spider webs. The male bathroom itself looked like a highschool bathroom, full of derogatory texts and drawn phalluses.
We get back to our table, and while waiting for our pizzas to arrive, we noticed a projector above the bar, showing a video of someone’s gameplay of a random videogame featuring hanging, zombies and murder. Didn’t vibe with it at all, neither did the kids in the restaurant most likely. We ordered our pizza from a QR code menu that cryptically described what’s actually on the pizza. Who thought it is a good idea to write “hot oil” at the very end of a 4 line long description of the ingredients to show a pizza is gonna be spicy? At the bar we saw the workers eat over all the drinks and glasses. After our pizza arrived, at our first bite I was wondering where the pizza was. The dough was paper thin. Interestingly, the website says they might run out of dough throughout the day if it’s very busy. I doubt that with their paper thin pizza it happens. You could probably fold that pizza into an airplane and it’d fly.

That pizza – it was an incredibly charred crispy crust that made it superb. Cool place inside, super personable staff and nice ‘parklet’ out front for outdoor dining. Dogs, kids, the Hampden scene – was cool. I got a cheese and a spinach slice – probably one of the best slices I’ve had in Balto. Gotta get a whole pie next!!

Me and girls had our monthly pizza trip, and it was so yummy! I got my usual Dollup Parton with the beetballs, and I swear this time was their best. It had the perfect amount of shaved garlic and basil, and those beet balls are a must try for vegans and non vegans
