It is often hard to find a good Indian restaurant when traveling, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover Indian Kitchen in Golden. I ordered the biryani, which I always try wherever I go, and it was absolutely flavorful and delicious. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations.
The portion was generous, maybe a little too much for me, but that is not a complaint. The taste was spot-on, and the spices were balanced perfectly. If you are in Golden and craving authentic Indian food, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

We tried this place on our way back to Calgary and were not disappointed. Food tasted pretty good. Lamb kadhai didn’t taste exactly like a kadhai dish, but was delicious. Portion size was decent as well. Loved the garlic naan. Our order took a good amount of time to be served. Overall, it’s a good place to stop by if you’re in Golden and craving for some Indian food.

Food was amazing!!! We needed gluten free dishes, and the staff assured us that most dishes are gluten free. We had the best paneer pakora, just amazing! All the curry dishes were perfect in taste, also the rice. Very large portions! We also took the garilkic naan (with gluten) which was great! Highly recommend! And the staff was super nice!!!

Indian Kitchen, LaFontaine Road Golden – A Quick Delightful Stop!
Stopped over at Indian Kitchen in LaFontaine, and honestly, it turned out to be a perfect pit stop. The food? Absolutely delicious. I tried many veg items – every single dish was full of authentic Indian flavours and totally mouth-watering. You could tell they don’t compromise on taste or quality.
The chai at the end was the highlight for me – warm, comforting, and exactly the kind you’d get at a roadside dhaba back home. Undoubtedly awesome!
There’s a motel nearby too, so if you’re on a road trip or just need a quick rest, it’s a very convenient location. Only thing – prices were a bit on the higher side, especially from an Indian traveller’s point of view, but given the quality and remote location, it felt fair.
All in all, if you’re passing by LaFontaine and craving proper Indian food – this place won’t disappoint.

Had such a wonderful experience at Indian Kitchen! The food was absolutely delicious full of authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and perfect spices. Every dish tasted like it was made with so much care and love. Chef was soo humble !!!!!
What truly stood out was the manager. He was incredibly hardworking, attentive, and constantly making sure every customer felt welcomed and comfortable. You can really see the dedication and passion he puts into running the place. It made the whole dining experience even more special.

The food in this place is really tasty and flavourful. All the spices enhance the flavours. The ambience is nice, warm and cosy and the service is friendly and attentive, they help us decide on some plates . Good quality of food and good prices. A must if you like Indian food.

Wow! We stopped here on our way to Revelstoke for butter chicken, and as true butter-chicken enthusiasts who sample it everywhere we go, this one absolutely stood out. Rich, perfectly spiced, and incredibly satisfying. This dish firmly earns a spot in our top three butter chickens of all time.

The food and service of this restaurant’s really wonderful. We didn’t ask the name of the server but he was really friendly and provided us good recommendations of places to visit in Golden. We were a group of 4 visiting Golden for the first time and since we were craving for the Indian food, we randomly stopped by in this restaurant. We enjoyed the food and vibe.

We were visiting Golden for the weekend and were hoping to find a good restaurant and it so happened that this gem is just across the hotel we were staying.
We ordered Butter Chicken, Mango Fish Curry and the Karahi Chicken.
This restaurant understood what spice level means. We’ve been to many Indian restaurant across Canada but sometimes get disappointed with the masala added and the spice level. But they know exactly what mild, medium and hot is.
Heads up to the chefs for the amazing meal and to everyone working giving us great service! Now we have something to look forward to coming back to Golden.
