No servers only a digital screen to order. Screen seemed to be easy to navigate. Several employees asked if I need assistance (I didn’t). Food came out quick, restaurant is very clean, the staff is very clean in appearance. Food was good as expected. Price is very reasonable.

Ok food was awesome, but how do you dare ask for a tip when the only thing you offer as service is to cook the food. No one took the order we had to punch it in. No one brought us our food, someone called us up to come get it. The only thing brought to us was the milkshacks. You had about 10 people standing around staring at us like creepy. When we were finished we cleaned our table, like you would at McDonald’s. So exactly who was expecting to be tipped and for what? Tips are usually something for servers and services. We the customers did more of the services and the employees. So when we placed our order and was asked for a tip before we had received anything. This might be my opinion but that feels like a scam. Asking for a tip when there’s less service than your regular fast food please is sneak business. Bring back some service if you want to tip.

I grew up in Orlando, Florida and Steak ‘n Shake was a huge part of my life. I love this chain and haven’t been able to go to one since I moved to the Rockies. It may sound weird, but I specifically stayed in Ashtabula and went to this location on my cross country drive from Maine to Montana because it was the highest rated one I could find. It didn’t disappoint. Thanks for the nostalgic memories and the incredible Frisco melts!

I was trying to order 3 meals. I got the first 2 ordered and when I went to do the last one the girl that was working the window never asked me if there was anything else that I wanted. She gave me the total of the 2 and told me to pull up. When I got to the window I told her that I was not done ordering. She asked if I wanted to add to my order and I told her no that it was fine.

Love the steakburgers and cheese fries! Milkshakes are top notch too. And to those complaining about lack of service it’s because of staffing and people not wanting to work for a living. And as far as complaints about having to clean up afterwards, ask your mom to work there then she can clean up after you.

Used to be Such a fun place but now, even though the workers were great, there is no more service. You have to order at a kiosk and then listen to be called to pick your own food. Then, of course, you have to clean up your own table…

Dining-in opened up a few weeks ago and it looks great inside! The remodel includes ordering kiosks, which were very easy to use and has customizable options. The food and shake were great, especially the cheese fries.
Edit: price was affordable too- 2 burgers, small fries, cheese fries, and a large shake was $15.
