Having lived in France, my expectations for genuine flavours were high. I was not disappointed. Service was lovely and the atmosphere was of a true brasserie. Daily menu ensures seasonality and quality. If you’re vegetarian, beware that the short menu is big on meat (like majority of brasseries are), but stopping for cheese platter and some wine would worth the experience too. If you’re treating yourself to a proper experience, indulge yourself in mains and don’t skip the pudding.

Also, I appreciate them serving kir – so common in France, so difficult to find here.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience overall and would recommend this establishment to others. The service was consistently attentive throughout our visit—staff members were prompt with drinks, checked on us regularly, and were quick to address any needs we had. However, I did notice that while they were professional and efficient, there wasn’t much warmth or personality in the interactions. The service felt somewhat mechanical, lacking the friendly banter or genuine connection that can elevate a dining experience from good to memorable. It wasn’t poor service by any means, just a bit formal and distant.
That said, the food—which is undeniably the star of the show here—absolutely delivered on every level. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, showcasing quality ingredients and skilled execution. The flavors were well-balanced and sophisticated, demonstrating real culinary expertise in the kitchen. From the appetizers through to dessert, everything we ordered met or exceeded our expectations. The portion sizes were generous without being excessive, and the timing between courses was well-paced.
While the slightly impersonal service was a minor drawback, it certainly didn’t overshadow the exceptional quality of the food. When you’re dining at a place that prides itself on its cuisine, that’s ultimately what matters most, and this restaurant succeeds admirably in that regard

Came here with a voucher that was a gift. It was a special treat. We have the cote a bouef à partager and it was excellent. We also had the Gateaux crepe and the Riz au lait for dessert. Both were lovely and had spécial flavours, the chocolate was really high quality. It’s not cheap and the menu is daily with just 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts on offer (there is also fromage ans charcuterie), but you can guarantee that every dish will be made with care and will be delicious. It was quite rich, but that is what I was here for! The service was great and the manager really keeps it together considering he’s looking after all this tables. Small place and can be a bit overwhelming with the people next to you being so close and yapping loudly. Overall, a really nice experience.

A magical little corner that makes you feel like you’re in France.

The food is outstanding, fresh, authentic, and exactly what French cuisine is about. The menu also develops throughout the evening depending on what the chef has available. So don’t bother with expectations and come with an open mind to be taken on the journey.

It is the atmosphere that makes this place special though. A french couple are running the floor and besides greeting you in French, they will run a tight operation making sure you’re looked after, recommend you things on the menu, and wine pairings.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and looking forward to come back.

A fantastic little spot with great food, ambiance and service. Very welcoming from the start, we didn’t book in advance but got a space at the bar for a bite to eat. Looking forward to our next visit to try more of their daily changing menu and will be going to try their sister restaurant Pique-Nique!

Marvellous French cuisine in the heart of London. Terrific restaurant with unbelievably tasty dishes. The menu changes every day, so you’re always in for a surprise.
The flavours the chef gets from the ingredients is indicative of classic French cooking, and it’s done perfectly here. Would highly recommend

A lovely find! The menu changes daily, which I found quite refreshing. The decor is lovely, and very cozy. I had the cepes with egg and the veau for my main, and both dishes were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend trying if you’re in the area!

A trip to France! V good French food, the pork rillettes was superb, chocolate mousse ditto. Tarte tatin not the best we’ve had. Warm and welcoming service, although it could be difficult to attract attention for another drink. Short but interesting wine list. Warm and vibrant atmosphere.

The atmosphere at this restaurant really is so beautiful. It’s low lit and intimate so it is perfect for couples or groups up to 4. The menu changes regularly and is entirely in French so the servers will translate for you if needed (which I certainly did). We ordered a veal salad, a duck main, and chocolate fondant. The veal salad was nice and light with a sour dressing. The duck confit was soft with mash and spinach. The chocolate fondant had a vanilla ice cream and a little caramel on top.

We came for Saturday lunch and enjoyed the cosy bistro atmosphere and the food was very good with good portion sizes. I like that the menu changes daily. Between the two of us, we shared the quail salad (very fresh and tasty), the steak with beans and peppercorn sauce with green beans and potatoes on the side (meat cooked perfectly medium rare and the peppercorn sauce was delicious) and the cabillaud with ratatouille (nice piece of fish and the ratatouille balanced it out well). The service was polite and friendly.
