Who would have thought a restaurant in a Holiday Inn would hit the amazing steak house quality ?!?
We were in Peoria for a family event and booked the Holiday east Peoria for the night.
We also have family who live in the Eau Claire, WI area who have dined at the Johnny’s at that location – HIGHLY recommended so we knew we needed to give the East Peoria Johnnys a try.
Alyssa was great and so very attentive
The six of us shared a Little Italy combination appetizer which was both FUN and Delicious ! Don’t sleep on the bruschetta twist which has a goat cheese base & is outstanding.
The cocktails were yummy.
Our steak entrees were perfect !
We so very much wanted to try a couple of desserts (all made in house !) but just couldn’t eat anything else.
Ps we had fun convos about pop-overs which seem to be an Eau Claire, WI only offering

My wife and I came in for a Valentine’s dinner, and Tess took great care of us the whole night. Super friendly, on top of everything, and just made the experience easy and enjoyable.
There was a weird moment when another server tried to claim one of her tables right in front of everyone, but Tess handled it calmly and professionally and kept taking care of the guests without missing a beat. It stood out, she’s a pro.

It was a team dinner event where I happened to be at this place and the food was amazing. Regardless which dish you opt for the feedback from each team member was the same as amazing.
They have holiday special drinks and do try them as well.
Price was a bit on higher side but for the taste and experience, it was worthwhile.

Update: Came back and had another great experience with our server Lauren. Tried the Beef Wellington – good. The mushroom duxelle was perfect if maybe a bit salty. Pastry a bit thin for my tastes but overall it was really good. Another guest had the Italian Trio which was really good and a lot of food! Service outstanding. The place was hopping – glad we had reservations. Just a great option in the area for higher-end dining. Keep it up!. Been back a couple of times recently. About a month ago – flawless. Everything was perfect. Had the Chanel No5 and another guest had the stroganoff. Both great, though the stroganoff was a bit rare for their liking. Anyway, back last week and OMG, something went wrong. More folks showed up for dinner than expected and slowed everything down. Wait for a drink was over 20 minutes. Fortunately, our server Monika saved the day. She remained calm, explained the problem and kept working on getting the drinks. Also tried the Veal Sinatra and it was one of the best dishes I have had this year. Amazing. I would avoid one of the booths just off from the hotel lobby – if you want total seclusion it’s fine – but you feel a bit like hidden in the back. So … eager to come back and hoping service returns to normal. Big thanks to Monika!

Incredible first experience, and definitely not our last! Our server and bartender Tim was absolutely on hos game, even with a busy bar. I would come back just for the service alone. Food was amazing, and their commitment to quality and consistency was evident. My perfectly medium steak absolutely melted in my mouth, and my wife’s pasta was outstanding. The salads were fresh, the bread was warm and delightful, appetizers and drinks were perfect. Definitely found my new favorite. See y’all for my birthday. Start aging my filet please!

Tim was my bartender this evening. He took care of me from the minute I walked in to the minute I left. He was extremely efficient and educated and an absolute gentleman behind the bar. I will be returning my business at this restaurant based on the service and experience that was provided . The service he provided was top notch. The food was delicious. I look forward to returning and enjoying another great evening here .

I was pretty disappointed overall. The atmosphere was great, but the service was equal to a quick service restaurant. It took 20 minutes just for water (8 people). I ordered Oscar Filet med rare. It came out well done. When I finally received a replacement steak, the rest of our party had finished eating and was ready for the check. I declined the steak and had it removed from my bill. So I only had the wedge salad. Not sure if I’m going back.
