We enjoyed our meals here, although nothing was spectacular. The Toad in the Hole I had was unique, seemed like it was correctly cooked, but didn’t have a lot of flavor – maybe this is how it’s meant to be? The apple chutney was very interesting, strong, sour, and spiced – I’m still undecided on it lol
My colleague’s steak was cooked correctly but he said the it was so spicy he couldn’t taste anything else afterwards. The others said their meals were good. Our service was nice and pleasant and the restaurant is unique.

The Portobello Mushroom burguer was delicious and one of the best vegetarian burguer options I’ve had in a while!
Especially with the sweet potato fries as a side!
Jack was our server and he was very attentive and nice
Great experience!

Highly recommend since it’s the OG of Vermont breweries. Deb, the bartender, is the sweetest soul and the craft beer is awesome according to my bf. I had a mixed drink which was also delicious. First time here and we will definitely return!

In downtown Burlington, amongst other shops and restaurants. We’re seated pretty quickly. Waitress was a little slow to come around and check in on us but was very nice when we did see her. Have a decent selection of beers that are also local. Burger was good but lacked flavor. Our other food was good! It was a Saturday night so it was pretty busy but they were able to handle people coming and going.

Apparently Vermont’s oldest brewery! Nice, friendly staff.
Good selection of beers and ales (didn’t care much for the signature Red). Bar food – Tenders were ok. Standard stuff. If the weather is nice – much better to sit outside. Inside by the bar is a bit dead. Worth a stop for a pint before moving on!

Loved this restaurant. Staff was so attentive to my needs. Outside patio was perfect for dining Great menu with local flair. The VT cheddar maple BBQ burger was to die for and huge.

Staff was extremely friendly! The house brewed beers were delicious (I liked the Regal Lager a lot!). The chicken thighs were a little on the bland side, but if dipped in the honey balsamic dressing, it really popped! My dining companion loved the meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravy. I also got a scoop of ice cream that was probably 1/2 a pint!

The restaurant was comfortable and probably 1/2 full at the time. We were seated immediately without a reservation. For context, I’m from a more populated area in NY (but not NYC!), so I’m used to having a wait at a restaurant.

I’ll definitely return on a future trip to Burlington!

Recently starting working in Burlington again and have now ordered take out from the pub three times. I have to say the food quality seems to have taken a dive over the last few years because what I have been served recently is not what it used to be. Today for example, I ordered simple chicken tenders and fries. The tenders are nearly burnt to a crisp giving them a bad flavor and the fries are lukewarm. Super bummed out that there seems to have been a change in food prep. These fries used to be one of my favorites in town.

Location is central on a corner and easy to get to. Atmosphere is cool, darker lighting and Irish pub/bar feel. Host wasn’t very welcoming, like we were bothering them to come in. We were sat quickly (party of 4). The food was just ok, unfortunately. The fish and chips is around $21. Fish was bland. The portion is decent. The coleslaw was equally bland. Shepherd’s was tasty. We ordered a Philly without onions. Could have dealt with the onions when it came accidentally with onions, but it was hard to find the meat among the loads of onions. Beer cheese and pretzels were good. One person in our party eats burgers just about everywhere and called his Maple BBQ burger a 6.5/10. Our server was friendly, attention was ok. The manager that was walking around helping and touching tables was friendly and professional. Overall 3-4 ⭐️. Could have been an off day, but the food was a solid 6/10 on this day.
