Andre at Tigerlily is hands down the best server I have ever had. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. His knowledge of the menu was impressive and his recommendations were absolutely spot on.

He has that rare balance of being friendly without hovering and attentive without rushing you. Drinks were always refilled, timing was perfect, and he somehow made the entire experience feel effortless. You can tell he truly loves what he does and it shows in every interaction.

If you are lucky enough to get Andre, your meal will be exceptional. He is the kind of server that makes you want to come back again and again. Tigerlily is great, but Andre takes it to another level.

From the moment my mom and I walked in for brunch I could tell we were going to have a positive experience. Little did I know how amazing of an experience we were in store for. The food…Amazing! The ambiance…Beautiful! But the service from DrayShawna was beyond superb! Ask to be sat in her section, you will not be disappointed. Her recommendations and vivacious spirit truly made a good experience a great one.

I was really excited to try Tiger Lily, mainly because of their famous thick donuts. We made a reservation, but still had to wait to be seated, which was fine except even after sitting down, it took about an hour and a half for our food to come out. The wait was tough, but I will say the pancakes were worth trying. We ordered two different kinds, and they were both really, really good. I’d honestly come back just for those.

On the other hand, our eggs Benedict was a huge letdown. The eggs came out undercooked, which completely threw off the dish. Thankfully, our server was extremely nice, polite, and attentive and she kept us updated on the kitchen delays and even took the Benedict off the bill, which I really appreciated.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, the decor is modern and stylish, and even the bathroom is super cool with fun animations that make it stand out. The vibe and the food presentation definitely give “Instagram worthy” energy.

That said, the wait times and inconsistency in the kitchen were disappointing, especially since we had a reservation. The pancakes alone can’t justify an hour and a half wait, but the place still has potential. I’ll give it another shot, because some of the other dishes I saw coming out looked amazing. It just wasn’t the experience I hoped for this time.

Sat at the bar at TigerLily and the service was A1. Great conversation, good laughs, and solid vibes all around.

Had the threeway breakfast sandwich, steak and eggs, and pancakes. The sandwich was tasty but chaotic, too much sauce and thick tomato slices turned it into a fork-and-knife situation pretty fast. Steak and eggs were flavorful and cooked exactly how we asked, though the potatoes were seasoned pretty aggressively.

The pancakes stole the show. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, butter doing butter things. Worth the visit alone. I see chocolate in my future visit on them.

Overall a solid 4 out of 5 and I’d definitely go back, especially for bar seating and pancakes.

Amazing place! I don’t eat sushi or seafood so I was worried I wouldn’t find much on the menu for me. But my husband and other couple wanted to come so I took a chance!

I had the best most satisfying meal ever! We had the chicken and filet bao buns! They were so good, we ordered more! I was not a fan of the spicy edamame, they were kinda dry and needed something saucy on them. We also had the salad and it was good too! I don’t remember what it was called but it had peanuts and chicken skewers on top!

We also had the bang bang chicken skewers… so delish. The sauce was great.

My husband and his friend loved the sushi also!

Oh and the cucumber gimlet is a must have!

I had dinner at TigerLily in Ferndale last night and was really looking forward to trying it, but overall, it was disappointing. The first thing that stood out was how limited the vegetarian sushi selection was; only two rolls, which I ordered. Both were fine, but honestly nothing special, about the same quality you’d get from a grocery store like Kroger.

Service was another weak point. It took quite a while for our server to greet us and even longer to take our order. Our AAC rolls came out nearly ten minutes before my Slo Roll and my friend’s California roll, which felt odd. She didn’t pre-bus the table, so dishes piled up, and it took forever to close out the check. I got the impression she might have been new and that management had her covering too large of an area, which made things harder on her, but still, the service suffered because of it.

People talk about the ambiance being beautiful, but I didn’t see it. It felt more IKEA than upscale, and between the loud music and the echo of everyone talking, it was hard to relax or have a conversation.

Overall, TigerLily just didn’t deliver. Between the limited menu, basic food, slow service, and loud atmosphere, I won’t be back. For better sushi and a more enjoyable dining experience, I’d recommend Ronin in Royal Oak or Zao Jun in Bloomfield Hills instead.

I’ve been here once before this with my significant other. The food and service were absolutely amazing. Yesterday, I came with my girlfriend to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I may have had the worst service I’ve ever received in my life. I never felt like a server didn’t care so much. I’m going to give it the benefit of the doubt that she was new and not trained properly. I understand things can be 86d especially at the end of the night, but it is the server’s job to let the customer know what popular things are 86d. I spent 200 on my bill and felt no gratitude or care. I hate to pull this card, but my girlfriend and I are servers, so to disappoint us so badly makes me not want to come back, even though the food is so good.

We were here for the brunch with a party of 4 and tried a lot of the menu. Everything was good, including the famous pancakes. The espresso martini was refined and delicious.
Our server was so friendly and advised us wisely on the menu.

We had an excellent time with DrayShawna! She is the pancake queen and she was definitely what made the experience so lovely! Food was delicious, service was fantastic – will be back!

Disappointing experience:
We had to wait a bit to get seated, even though there was no one ahead of us. No hostess was up front.
Service was slow but our server seemed to have a few tables therefore we were fine with it.
Took a while to get our orders in and to get drinks.
Again, all fine.
What wasn’t ok was being told one entrée ordered was unavailable. 20 minutes AFTER we ordered.
We were told to pick something else but the server didn’t wait at the table for a decision.
Several minutes later one dish came out, with no order or food for the other person at the table.
We had already been there quite some time and decided to leave and dine elsewhere, where we could both eat at the same time.
Our drinks were fine. We were unable to taste and food.
