A solid brunch spot serving some of the creamiest, most flavourful grits in town. The biscuits and veg scramble are great, too. Service was quick and friendly. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived at 9:30 but was full an hour later – easy to see why.

This is my second time at The Med. Our first time around the food was so fantastic that we had to come back. We expected a wait, and our wait was about 30 minutes. They usually text when it is time but didn’t. We showed back up around 40 minutes and found out our table was ready. We ordered quickly after sitting down—then the waiting started. Last time our food came out within fifteen minutes. This time it didn’t come out for at least 45. Our server informed us that they had run out of biscuits and they were preparing more for us. Another hour later was finally when we got our food. We waited so long because of the biscuits and the kitchen having to go back to the tickets since they skipped the previous ones. Because of this, we didn’t have to pay anything for our meal. I appreciated their hospitality greatly, and we were glad to have stayed. It was definitely worth it. Wonderful atmosphere and great people.

My partner and I went during winter, so no long waits or crazy crowds. We had very good service and very short waits times for food and drink! Great atmosphere and not too loud inside. The food was good, cooked well, very nice textures. It was under seasoned which was a tiny bit disappointing. The biscuits were absolutely fantastic!! Beautiful textures and flavors in the biscuits. Would definitely come back. ☺️

Went to The Med while on vacation in Asheville. The staff was very friendly and courteous. They helped pick out my breakfast which I loved. I highly recommend the breakfast burrito. I asked for some hot sauce and to my surprise they make it themselves. This hot sauce is my absolute favorite and I suggested they sell it online! I will be back for sure when in town.

Delicious diner! We went here for breakfast on our last day, got in just before the breakfast rush. They got us seated, but I heard many people needed to wait 15-20 minutes so be prepared during peak hours! The food was fantastic, the pancakes were fluffy and perfectly griddle printed, really homestyle. The atmosphere is warm and comforting, a classic diner with a bar facing the line cooks, who are very friendly and work so hard! Overall awesome experience, highly recommend

They had the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. It was a huge portion and so delicious, I ate it all. Even though it was busy, our waitress was super attentive. I will definitely return the next time I’m in Asheville!

Fantastic little breakfast spot. Got the breakfast burrito with house sausage and the three egg western with grits and a biscuit. House made biscuit was delicious. Everything was fresh and you can see all the food being made. Coffee was VERY good as well. Recommended eatery!

Recommended! I was hoping to find something beyond the usual breakfast staples—this place genuinely impressed me. The breakfast burrito was amazing—flavorful, balanced, and not too heavy. Paired with a fresh, well-dressed side salad, it felt like a complete meal. Everything tasted fresh, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Definitely a standout spot worth returning to.

Great local diner with excellent made-from-scratch food. Enjoyed my chicken biscuit and side of crunchy potatoes along with a quite tasty bloody mary. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I sat at the counter and watched the the cooks work their magic, but people with longer legs might have a harder time doing this bc of the under the counter footrest. I will definitely be bringing my friends back.

The Med is a revamped classic breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Asheville. The menu is concise but offers a little of everything you’d want. Everything is made in house, including a delicious hot sauce. I love the West End Hash bowl with deep fried “smashed” potatoes. The breakfast burrito is also great. The service is always amazing (shout out to Amanda) and the owners are really good people. It’s definitely my go to spot for breakfast in downtown.
