Close to the Marcus North Shore Theater, The Chancery is a great place to grab a bite before a movie. Family friendly, beautiful bar, good service and good food. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas. The chicken, peppers and onions were all tender and very flavorful. The toppings were fresh, with the tortillas wrapped tight to keep them warm. The Chancery was a classic place to eat for a long time, but now this is the only one that remains. Stop in, and grab a tasty bite of history.

We went here with my dad & aunt and really enjoyed ourselves. This is one of my dad’s favorite places to go after church. The food was delicious but I wish they had more options for sides!! We look forward to dinning again here with my father♥️

I ordered buffalo wings and the waffle fries. The wings were too big for my liking, couldn’t eat it. However, all of the staff is friendly. Aly (our server) gave great service.

This is a tough review for me to give because I am a longtime fan of the chancery and it had been a long time since we’ve been here.
I wanted to love it so much because I remember loving it as I was growing up, however, they were very few people in the restaurant and I thought service should have been more attentive. Don’t get me wrong. The young man we had was very kind and did not give us a specific problem, but it did take a long time for him to check back after our food was served and never returned for quite some time after to provide refills or to go packaging.
The food was fair, but for the price we thought it should have been a bit more generous of servings, however, when you reflect on the area it’s in and the choices, they can afford to be higher just by a lack of selection in the area.
Restaurant was clean, but we seated directly in front of an emergency exit, and it was freezing. We are visibly shaking and never were able to take our jackets off and although there were so many choices for areas to have seated us,, the spot was chosen, which we thought was pretty inconsiderate .
We definitely cannot take that out on the server, but that would come with better management in our opinions.
There’s plenty of parking in the pavilion area and we did not have a wait at around 7 PM on a Thursday.
The menu has plenty of choices. You can have anything from a sandwich, wrap, a burger, pasta, chicken, jambalaya, fish, or even pizzas.

I always look forward to stopping here when I am passing through. I wish there were more locations still around. If I lived closer, I would definitely frequent more. Their menu has so many options-all delicious. My cheesehead dream burger was amazing. I love the garlic mayo. Their home made ranch wins in my book for THE BEST home made ranch-pairs nicely with the waffle fries. I will be back!

It’s been a while since I ate at the chancery. The restaurant in my neighborhood closed. I didn’t think my favorite item would be on the menu, but it was. Nice size group, and the service was great. I’ll be back to get more of “Hey curly, where’s Moe”.

A relaxing wood horseshoe bar set in a western-style lodge setting. Friendly bartender and busy lunch atmosphere. Diverse clientele and easy vibes. Nice strong Manhattan cocktail set the tone.

I’m glad there’s still a Chancery in the metro area. There used to be several. The food is always very good from the fried chicken to the fish fry. The French Dip is juicy, and the Wisconsin Cheese Steak is big and tasty. The Onion Strings appetizer is ginormous and super flavorful. I even enjoyed their gyros. The burgers are all great. The fruit is always fresh. I love the cabin, the fronteir theme of this restaurant.

Go there about every 6-8 weeks. Last few visits were disappointing. Last visit was the last visit. My pizza wasn’t done. Thick and doughy. Cold atmosphere. My wife ate with her cost on. They didn’t have merlot. Really. We ordered a glass and the waitress returned and said they were out. Never has any restaurant we’ve been to not had a staple like merlot. So we ordered a pilot and the serving size was literally two fingers. Have really enjoyed Chanceries over the years. Too bad it’s fallen so far.

Showed up on an “unbusy” day, Good Friday, was sat down and ignored for 20 minutes. No drink orders taken, nothing…
I had to call the restaurant to get someone to come to the table…
Guess we’ll see how this food is…
Service, so far, TERRIBLE!!!
Photo attached is of a “service employee” as we sat, parched…
After an hour, food arrived, mind you they WERE NOT busy!
But it turns out the fish fry was actually delicious, our waitor must have been on break, shift change, something… Either way it wasn’t as bad as I had envisioned originally and our waitor actually did ok once he was engaged. Might come back for the fish fry another time but I do not enjoy feeling ignored.
