We stopped in to fuel up and hit the restroom. Just passing through anc found the food to be very good! The burgers where huge!! We got two loaded burgers and fries And two chicken tenders with fries meals. It was pretty pricey but worth it with the amount of food you get! Staff was very nice! . Facilities were kinda gross but that’s a truck stop for you. Thanks again!

Quick stop. We got boudin eggrolls, corn nuggets, eggs with bacon, cones with Texas toast. The eggs were super silky. The rolls were interesting ( I never had boudin). I ate them with ketchup. It was a pleasant meal. This place is in a truck stop and had a casino next door.

After a long workday and all that fast food, I decided to stop and try some Louisiana cuisine. Of course, I didn’t pick the best restaurant, since there’s never any parking for trucks there. Anyway, I stopped at Tiger Truck Stop and ordered their Gator Bites. What I got were small deep-fried breaded balls filled with bean puree. I didn’t find any alligator meat in them at all. There were five little balls, and they cost ten dollars. In my opinion, that’s way too expensive — four dollars would’ve been fair.

Then I ordered the Steak Dinner. Their “steak” turned out to be a patty of ground meat fried on both sides. It wasn’t bad, but I was expecting an actual piece of meat, not minced. On top of that, they forgot my mashed potatoes, so I ended up eating the meat without any side dish. So, sorry, but I’m leaving you a negative review. I do hope you’ll improve and reach something better. Total cost $40

My last year over the road was 1999, i used to frequently the cafe everytime i was passing by, or at least once a month. Back then it was the tiger truck stop with live tigers. Jambalaya was good and the fried seafood occasionally burnt. My fondest memory was picking up 10lbs or so of Gator sausage on my way home. Makin a pot of beans with cornbread, spiked with some gator sausage. Doesn’t get much better, unless you ain’t the one cookin.

This place has plenty of parking, although later in the evening fills fast! The food is good but I was a little disapointed because it wasn’t up to LA standards in my book. The service was friendly but it does mention it has a cafe but it is just a hot food counter where you can order food and go sit at tables. No waiters or waitress. (The old building use to be an actual cafe). Overall not a bad place to take a 10.

Louisiana is my favorite state when it comes to good eating. Apart from that southern hospitality, cooking just comes naturally to folks. That’s what you’ll get here at Tiger Cafe, excellent service, friendly staff, clean restaurant, and food is delicious! I highly recommend, I will definitely be back. Goes well with a cold beer of course

Stoped for the night. We decided to go in and sit down and eat. Glad we did. They are renovating to make a bigger parking lot, convenient store, and a bigger Tiger cafe!! Food was made to order. Portions are perfect for us!! Everything was seasoned well!!

A nice spot to stop for a bite to eat. It’s right off of 10e ex 139. I ordered the beef tips a side of red beans/rice , the boys Cajun fried chicken and cheeseburger. She brought back a half of chicken fresh and golden brown. Then a big bowl of beef tips in gravy over a bed of rice, accompanied by potatoes carrots and 2 cornbread pcs( cornbread semisweet and moist great) . Followed by a cheeseburger. A little disappointed by the cheeseburger . For the price small (patty size and thickness) . Other than that food was delicious and healthy portions.

Got the truckers breakfast meal. Eggs was fresh. I got the gator sausage, but the grits was cold.

Overall a good deal for the price.
