Visited this long time family favorite and found it to be less than memorable. While the preparation followed the traditional script, the food lacked any robust flavors. The yum yum sauce – a mandatory addition to our shrimp – was watery and lacking in its flavor. After years of so many enjoyable meals there, the entire experience was surreal.
We’re hoping it was just an off night, but at $35 a meal, some apprehension to double down on what could be a bad decision.
Be aware that they have posted a sign that states due to rising costs their sodas and teas are now charged by serving. Not that we consume a great deal of either for this to be an issue. But one does reflect how much did the price of green tea bags go up to require another $2.50 be charged if I by chance needed another tea?

I went for a solo dinner and was seated immediately. Our server came over fast but took a while to bring drinks besides water. While we waited for the chef, we were served soup which tasted like nothing…maybe some warmed water? I’m not sure what it was but it was horrible…the salad was mediocre at best, the dressing seemed just like a bottled something from Sysco. Nothing to write home about.
The chef was ok…fast but not giving the Hibachi experience very well. He didn’t cook the fried rice all the way, or the shrimp. He didn’t cook the steak properly either but I don’t mind it being more rare, it just wasn’t what anyone at the table ordered. Veggies were also noticeably undercooked. The flavor on these were alright, nothing great but not bad either.
I understand this may have been a new chef but he cooked for 7 of us in about 15 minutes. I probably won’t return to this location.
I will say, the “early bird” discount was great. This was because I arrived around 5:30 pm.

Drinks where great! I ordered a samurai and was very pleased with it. I’m not much the drinker however. What I am, is a enjoyer of shrimp. I ordered the Tokyo special that came with steak chicken and shrimp with fried rice and had a blast with it! The flavor was excellent! Can’t wait to go back and have it again!

So my total bill was $130. For me and my three children. That’s normal and I would not mind paying that. It was their first time at a hibachi and I was super excited to take them to one as I’ve been going to this one since I was a little girl. This hibachi has went downhill 100%. I would not recommend to anybody. The store is filthy and outdated. Not to mention the entire back room is just cluttered with stuff all over the walls and the floors. The salads were just lettuce with a galapa dressing on top. It’s not even the ginger dressing anymore. The food was next to bad. I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it literally a four at best. The flavor was good. The chef was a subpar. This place is completely went downhill. I wish they’d open a new one up north here so that we would have somewhere else to go. Otherwise we have to go all the way to Kansas

The food was clearly not fresh. A few hours after eating here, I suffered from severe food poisoning with intense stomach pain and violent diarrhea. I have honestly never felt this sick after a restaurant meal.
There is clearly a serious lack of hygiene and quality control. When you serve food, you are responsible for your customers’ health and this place failed badly.
I strongly do not recommend this restaurant unless you enjoy taking risks with your health.

It started by waiting 45 min to get started. It was cold in there but we knew it would get better after the table being fired up but that took so long. Never was offered refills of drinks and ice was melted by the time we ate, we asked 3 times for extra egg they did listen, had to waive down someone to get to go boxes, and I order Teriyaki Chicken and mine was prepared like the others guests that requested Hibachi chicken. Chicken was done but could have cooked longer. It was frustrating.

Came here for dinner. Got the steak and chicken with white rice. For the price, you get a decent amount. Enough to bring home leftovers.
The chef was very polite and funny.
It was pretty cold in the building with it being in the 40s outside. The soup didn’t have much of a flavor and the noodles were just spaghetti noodles that didn’t taste very good either. Rather difficult to eat.

Worst Japanese Steakhouse Experience Ever. The Teppanyaki Chef did absolutely no performance aspects. He cooked our food and left, when he passed out the food he made a big mess. The waitress ignored us the whole time. No refills, completely ignored us when passing out boxes for leftovers. The food had no flavor. They don’t have white sauce or yum yum sauce or low sodium soy sauce. And it cost around 40$ a plate with drinks and tax.

It was a very nice experience. It was a little warm in the restaurant but the food was good.
They did an excellent job keeping seafood separate from my dish since I have an allergy.
Chicken was super tender and full of flavor. I’m not a huge rice fan and thought it was excellent.
