We stopped in for breakfast today and we received a warm welcome like we did the first time we visited this restaurant. Today “J” was or waitress and not only was she a wonderful waitress for our table, we watch her in amazement as she waited several tables all with a smile and a great attitude. My husband and I ordered the King of The Hill omelet with pancakes and decided to split the meal. OMG!!! This was a biggest omelet I have ever seen. There was no way we would have eaten one each. The omelet was cooked different from what I consider a traditional omelet but it was good nonetheless.

The BEST gluten free pancakes I’ve ever had! They were big and fluffy and so good. They also have gluten free waffles. I have a gluten allergy and pork allergy and it’s so difficult to find breakfast places to accommodate. I was able to get GF pancakes and turkey sausage, so it made for a great day!

Perfect breakfast spot. The food was so good, my party of 4 was very satisfied. The potatoes were a stand out with crisp exterior and soft inside. I was visiting from Indy and will definitely return when I’m in the area again.

Best breakfast I have had in a long time! Friendly staff! Very clean and comfortable! The only negative I could even think of was no actual maple syrup.. but in this economy I can’t fault them for that. Definitely the best breakfast you can order in Portage!

Wondering how the hostess here decides who she’s going to be polite to and who she’s not going to be polite to. On Wednesday, February fourth, at about 11:39 a.m. i walked in saying I was here to pick up an Uber Eats order and the hostess was not helpful at all by finding out a wait time for me but when another person walked in after me who was picking up an online order, she told that person that she would go check on the orders. How rude. She is willing to do it for one person but not for another. So again i’m wondering, how does she decide who she will be polite to and who she won’t be polite to? What’s the criteria?

I got the fiesta skillet with chicken sausage instead of chorizo with apple cinnamon pancakes and I liked the meal except for the chicken sausage that was added and it’s only because they were patties instead of links. My daughter enjoyed her Oreo pancakes and my other daughter didn’t like her breakfast quesadilla because it didn’t have that authentic taste but she says she will try something else next time.

So we ate-in this morning! Yum yum! Steak is made perfectly- kudos. Our waitress was inappropriate though- in the sense that she didn’t clear off our table not once during our visit and she was quick to give is our bill and boxes. I felt rush. She also gave the energy as if she believed we were a waste of her time, if you know what I mean. She didn’t seem happy to serve us. And the cashier was worse- just plain rude. She started to receive my payment, answered a phone call, and was on it the whole time. For a minute she forgot she was serving me. The entire transaction she said only 1 thing “insert please”. Not how was your meal? Or thank you. Or have a nice day. I wanted to correct her rudeness but she was still on the phone when I was leaving- interrupting her would have been rude. So I give the front room staff a big fat thumbs down and no stars,, but the cooks get all these stars

I only ordered Uber eats from them do far but I liked what I saw. Very delicious, hot, quick, and accurate which is everything you want from food delivery. Not sure if it’s pricey or not because I think Uber eats just is pricey. But breakfast for 2 with 20% tip and $2.39 delivery came out to $72. We ordered steak skillets, crepes, French toast, and OJ. ♀️

They have healthy portions and the food is prepared as ordered. I am gluten-free and and always wait long enough to write a review to ensure what I ordered was gluten-free with no cross contamination. My body suffered no negative affects from the food. I will be returning.
