Such a fun and delicious experience at the Pancake House! Whether you dine in or take out, it is excellent and generous portions of food and service. The order out, to go system is very convenient with a very friendly website and easy to use ordering. Definitely a wonderful way to start the day. Highly recommend breakfast here.

We used to eat here a lot until as few years ago when the service had really gone “down hill”. I had heard they’ve since changed ownership and the grandkids wanted pancakes this morning so I ordered Uber Eats ( 3 kids pancake meals which were $11-12 each with an added $1.50 for a few chocolate chips, plus an adult meat & eggs breakfast meal which was $22, and all were very basic breakfast meals ). Now I remember why we haven’t been here in so long! Each of the 4 meals included sausage links. The sausages were so burnt that nobody touched them! The rest of the food was certainly lacking as well. The scrambled eggs were nothing more than what you would find in a lower end motel and seemed like they may have been powdered. It was hard to tell, but either way not one of us ate the eggs either. What a waste of over $70! Will definitely not be eating here again any time soon.

The service and atmosphere was great. Unfortunately the food was just… mid. The waffles were reminiscent of the box you get at the grocery, and everything about the biscuits and gravy was unremarkable. We couldn’t help but think we could have made it better at home. This place is lucky they don’t have breakfast competition.

OPH has always been a great local spot for a step up in quality when choosing breakfast/brunch. I will say, there is some inconsistency in who cooks. For example, whoever made my carryout burrito at ~7AM on Feb. 20 made it with love. The tortilla was heated up, there was an even distribution of filling components, and they wrote which burrito was which (we had 2). On other days, the tortilla is stiff and cold, the ingredients were in clumps, and we have to physically open our burritos to figure out whose is whose. Would love to see them all made the way that the Friday cook did, especially because it’s over $20 for two burritos before tip.

This is an excellent breakfast place. It’s definitely a step up from the standard breakfast restaurants in King county. This is my first time here and I had the vegetarian version of the eggs benedict. My friend gave me a piece of the amazing thick bacon they have. It was outstanding. And I even got to taste the pumpkin spice pancakes. They are like a dessert! But if you don’t put syrup on them they’re actually not too sweet.. I can’t wait to take the rest of my family here. It was very busy there, but that’s a good thing. I love seeing Independent businesses like this thrive in Maple Valley.

I went into this establishment with my grandmother on vacation. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was inviting, but the service was the real thing you’d wanna write home about! The hostess name was Lily and let me tell ya, this girl was on it. She constantly checked in on us and was so friendly to my grandmother and myself. My grandma is handicapped and Lily went out of her way to make her smile and make sure she was comfortable during our dining experience. I greatly appreciated it, you rarely see that anymore. I will be coming back next time I’m in town simply because of the service and kindness this young woman provided us, plus, let’s not kid- the food was amazing! Definitely try the chorizo breakfast taco!

The Original Pancake House in Maple Valley deserves all the praise. The food comes out quickly, the wait is typically short (even during busy hours!), and the staff are so friendly. Everyone is genuinely kind, helpful, and on top of everything.
The place is kept clean from the tables to the bathrooms, everything always looks freshly cleaned and cared for. You can tell the people who work there actually take pride in what they do. Tod, the Manager also takes time out of his busy schedule to pop by and say Hi, and check on you!
The food? Delicious, large portions (I can never finish it all) and perfectly cooked every single time. I’ll happily keep coming back ….great service, no long wait, and a super clean, welcoming atmosphere…what more could you ask for!

YES… I have visited many times since it 1st opened in MV… just keeps getting better and better. I went with my 30yo daughter on a busy Sunday morning, our server Mayzie was outstanding! From the time she promptly came to our table to the time we left, she was extremely kind, caring, thoughtful, attentive, anticipating our needs before expressed and checked on us often. She made us feel like family with her genuine and sincere warm personality. It was busy but she happily didn’t miss a beat. She went above and beyond on many levels! Even the GM stopped at our table who was wonderfully engaging, we shared laughs and heartfelt stories. And YES… the food IS delicious with all the home-cooked goodness you desire. The atmosphere gives cozy vibes. Best of the best!
