Cozy, informal joint serving up hearty Southern meat dishes & vegetable sides, plus pies & cakes.

We had a delicious breakfast at Aunny’s in Georgetown, SC. The grits were creamy, the eggs fluffy, the bacon crispy, and the salmon patties perfectly seasoned with a golden crust. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. A cozy, charming Southern spot we’ll definitely visit again!

My husband and I travel to his hometown and every time Aunnys is a must . We’ve been dining with them for 16yrs. Great soul food ! Not over seasoned. The portions are good . The price is right and the customer service excellent.
Don’t forget the homemade desserts baked by her very personable mother!

I’m forced to give a 1 on food due the tiny portion of fried chicken. That was supposed to be a breast and a wing. Barely any white meat at all. Basically the wing and rib.
It was seasoned well. The Mac and cheese was ok. Noodles were overcooked and a bit mushy. The collards had a real sweet flavor which I am not used to.
My date had the BBQ chicken and it tasted great, and the okra was just like my Mama’s.
Revelation is awesome!! She was very attentive to our needs. Also very patient as we took up the table for an extended period of time.

What a perfect hidden gem we found. I ordered the shrimp and grits (sautéed shrimp over grits, topped with brown gravy). The star of this dish was, by far, the unbelievably creamy grits. So smooth and velvety, I could’ve eating them with nothing on top!! The ambiance was perfect and our waitress, Revelation, was kind and attentive! I highly suggest this restaurant!!

My husband and I visited on the way to MUSC. I was scheduled for my first spinal tap and was anxious about it. Diamond treated us like family. My corned beef hash was absolutely delicious so I wanted to tell Aunny in person. As I begin to share with her, some inspirational gospel music came on in the restaurant. It really encouraged me. I knew then I wasn’t there by mistake. As I shared with Aunny tearfully, she said she wanted to pray for me. She prayed over me and a Peace came over me. The spirit of the Lord was in that place. Thank you, Aunny, my sister in Christ. It was divine intervention for me to visit you that day. Bless you and your business and thank you for praying for me that day. I went in for a great meal and came out with a peace that I can’t even explain. Thank you, Lord!

I’m not one who typically leaves a review but in this case I felt I had an moral and ethical obligation to do so. I placed my order over the phone and when I arrived I found out they didn’t even put my order in. I decided it’s okay, I’ll wait only to be met with severe disappointment. To make matters worst, I only ordered loaded french fries with cheese and bacon. It took them 20 minutes to complete the order with hardly anyone there, then I was met with a $14 charge for fries. The food quality was a complete disappointment. The fries lacked taste and was cooked in oil that was old and needed to be replaced. Lastly, I initially planned to order more items but everything I asked for they did not have. Thank goodness for that. The portion of what I did receive was a joke. Please save your money and avoid this place at all cost. ##AUNNY’s do better!

We have been here several times over the years and it was always a pleasure, until Saturday 1/16/2026,at around 11:30 am. Not sure what is going on with the wait staff but our server was so rude that we left before even ordering, first she walked over and literally chunked our silver ware onto the table,no smile,no greeting, then when my 70 year old mother tried to ask if they were out of mac and cheese, she glared at her and shook her head no. She never said a word to us until we were walking out because I told my mother that the young lady was rude and we did not need to patronize a place where we were not recieving even the most common of courtesies, she followed me onto the sidewalk outside of the store while yelling about how she was not rude to us and that we did not give her time to greet us. I said nothing but have a blessed day as she continued to run her mouth while we were driving away. So not only was she rude but also very aggressive, sad to say but we will not be returning.

3.5 Stars – Aunny’s is definitely a place you go for authentic southern fare. A lot of it is delicious, while some of it is not. It’s located on the main drag in Georgetown and is very friendly and casual. The restaurant definitely has its regulars, and it might be hard to get a seat.
Standouts included, first and foremost, the absolutely fresh and delicious fried shrimp. Perfection! The fried chicken was good, but not great. Okra and tomatoes was tasty, and the corn bread was light and very good. Collard greens were exactly right. Where things fell short were the way oversweet sweet potatoes, sweet coleslaw (not a fan), and a mushy and very sweet peach cobbler. Service was really great, and we were made to feel welcome. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious food. Great oxtail and fried chicken. Sides of squash casserole, okra and tomatoes, butter beans and okra. Everything was amazing. Save room for dessert- Banana pudding-Sweet potato pie. Both are the best we have ever had.
