Dinner, a show, and a hibachi chef I’d trust with my life
We came for a good meal—and left with full bellies and sore cheeks from laughing. Our hibachi chef was top-tier hilarious and seriously skilled. Between the fire, flying shrimp, and nonstop jokes, it was dinner and a show in the best possible way.
We kicked things off with their soup and salad, which were simple but hit the spot—especially that classic ginger dressing (you know the one). Then came the fried shrimp tempura roll, which was crispy, flavorful, and gone way too fast.
But honestly? The rice and veggies nearly stole the show—sauced just right, cooked to perfection, and packed with that buttery hibachi magic.
We ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi, and every bite was a hit. Tender steak, perfectly grilled shrimp, and flavors that made us want to lick the plate (but we stayed classy… mostly).
The vibe was lively, the service was solid, and the whole night felt like a mini celebration. If you’re looking for fun, flavor, and a flaming onion volcano or two, Hanabi delivers.
I was not going to post a review, but then I called to alert the manager, and he was very defensive and showed zero compassion.
My sister and I went Friday for hibachi. (It’s important to note that this was the only thing I ate that day.) Everything was good while we were there, staff was nice, experience was good.. but then signs of food poisoning/Gastrointestinal infection showed up in the early hours of the next morning – for both of us. We both had the salad, the soup, the fried rice and the hibachi filet mignon/chicken combo.
I called and asked to speak with the manager, so that I could alert him of these symptoms we were experiencing. As somebody who works in the industry, we take these types of phone calls, very seriously!! It is not to say that the restaurant did any practices incorrectly, but they could have a contaminated batch of Romaine… Eggs… Meat. And it’s important to notate if somebody calls, in case a recall comes out. Instead of any compassion, I received “we have the freshest ingredients in town” – completely dismissing me. First of all, unless you grow/raise the ingredients yourself, there is no way to know the quality of the ingredients or how it was prepared BEFORE it came to your restaurant.
Compassion goes a long way. And notating the importance of severe symptoms such as we are displaying, are highly important to the safety of your guests. I have not decided if I want to contact the health department yet, but it’s a possibility. Maybe you should’ve cared a little bit more.
Had a bad experience. Had a birthday party Monday night with the family. My wife found a 1 inch metal screw in her rice. No picture we were in shock the cook apologized repeatedly but in the end laughed it off. Nothing was offered and I still gave my normal tip. I thought long and hard before posting but felt it was necessary. Unfortunately, it killed the mood of our group.
We had 7pm reservation for a group of 10 and was seated on time. It seems dark inside but when seated at grill not so bad.
We had the Miso and Salad to start I had the Korean BBQ with mixed vegetables and fried rice, the wife had a Sushi Roll and I can’t remember which one, but it was very good and she shared. The beef was better than I expected doused in soy sauce very tender the vegetables were really good and fresh, fried rice was a meh.
Service was good drinks were mixed well, this was all about celebrating our Gransons 11 birthday which he loved. A really neat place to celebrate for the kids which they can interact with the chef and family. Needless to say he had a blast and that made it a great evening.
This spot was Legit
I got the Curry Vegan Ramen. Vegetable curry soup topped with napa cabbage, cabbage, carrot, bok choy, green onion and ajitama. It came with Housemade Vegetable Noodles as well. Highly recommend this spot!

Our waitress was clearly new (her first job and i believe her first week if I heard her correctly), but she handled everything with patience and kindness. She brought our drinks quickly and corrected anything we needed—she did a great job under pressure.
Meanwhile, the couple beside us treated her with complete disrespect. They ignored her, claimed they ordered things they didn’t, and openly talked badly about her every time she walked away. (it didn’t help that they were drinking.) Their behavior was uncomfortable for everyone nearby and visibly upsetting for her.
They ended up getting a discount they didn’t deserve, and it was frustrating to witness. So, if that couple happens to read this: it was a busy Saturday night, and your server was doing her best. Maybe try offering grace instead of hostility—like the rest of us did. Better yet, try walking in her shoes.
My second visit was fabulous with the chef making a wonderful assortment of sushi to try. There are a lot of choices in this area, but you won’t find one better.
The sushi bar service is superb. The server came by and took my empty dishes. They now have received 5 stars in all categories.
I’m now a regular here. This is my sushi place. I always eat at the sushi bar.
I had an amazing salmon belly sushi and can’t wait to go again.
