Found this gem while here in Port Charlotte.
It have a varied menu, we zeroed in on the fish dinner, plus a bowl of soup, I had clam chowder,and my wife had French onion.
Both were delicious.
The food came out on time and hot, ample portions and cooked perfect.
If you get there before 7pm its happy hour and I took advantage for a couple jack and cokes. The waitress was excellent as well
I would highly recommend Chubby,s if you are in town.

I’ve been going to Chubby’z since 2006 and I’ve never had a bad experience. The owner Danny has positioned himself and team to deliver great food with excellent service day in and out! PS Can’t go wrong with the wings!

There were five tables occupied, we made number six, so this certainly was not during a rush. The two waitresses both looked at us as we waited for service. After waiting for 15 minutes, one came over and apologized because they thought the other was going to take care of us. We don’t mind waiting when the place is hopping, but not after you make eye contact when both are one table away. Point of reference- proof of no service is evident when there are no menus, silverware, or drinks on the table.
The wings were grossly overcooked as the skin had peeled back on itself, the meat was dry and crunchy.
We ordered a pitcher of beer, but we were advised to buy bottles instead because they were having issues with their draft beer.
Our waitress was kind enough to put the game we were interested in on one of the three tvs on the closest wall. Unfortunately, the picture was fuzzy and distorted.
We always loved their food and service for years. At one time, had the BEST wings. We were regulars up to three months ago when we walked out after 20 minutes of sitting at a table without service. We were hoping that a second chance would have proven that everyone has an off-day. That does not seem to be the case.
Today proved that quality food, service, and environment have gone by the wayside.

They served everyone around us! We waited over an hour for wings while the folks around us, that came in after us, were eating their wings, we finally cancelled our order and left. The Harley bartender lady didn’t give a shit about us. We went to Gator’s, across the road and mentioned waiting an hour for wings, before walking out, and they knew exactly where we had come from. We had gator bites in 20 minutes and a great experience there. Think twice before going to Chubbyz. Unless you’re a local, they may treat you poorly.

Newest, newest update. Andrea was super awesome. Middle of super hot summer and Chubby’s was very slow. Kinda nice as we didn’t have to deal with a crowd. We know this won’t last long….Newest update….super busy, and on a Tuesday! They’re out of boneless wings, and the draft beer was going slow. Our waitress, Marisa, was stellar, and got our food and drinks out promptly. Crazy busy still at 7:00 pm, and still moving everything along well. Was a great time.I had the “All you can eat” fish. I had it before, during the covid, and it wasn’t very good. Today, the blackened was PERFECT. I had some fried, not my favorite, but even the breading was very good. Lots of people there, so come early.

We asked to be seated outside so cannot comment on atmosphere, but the burgers were the best we have had since moving to FL 7 years ago, they will make them any way you like it, mine was with Swiss and mushrooms, but husband had bacon and the works, picture is of mine , Alexis was wonderful, paid enough attention without being intrusive. Only regret was I forgot my to-go container on the table. We will be back and already plan on bringing friends.

Had lunch while waiting for an oil change at Midas. Great service and a big shout out to Maria she always goes above and beyond. She wasn’t our waitress but we observed her, several times taking care of every person who came in whether not it were her table.. Our waitress Tammy, was great as well. Food was pretty good (meh) and great drinks and good atmosphere. All in all it was a decent lunch. We had loved this place since it was in the promenades. But recently they had been overcooking EVERYTHING. But we kept giving them a chance and I believe they are on the way back to being my #1!

Really love this bar and restaurant they have great wings on special and great seafood. Service is fast and the food is delicious. Even when the place is super busy. They have an outdoor bar .right on an enter coastal . Hard to believe it seems like your in the woods on the water in the back of the place seeing how in the front you right in the middle of alot of businesses on 41 . Friendly wait staff. Just a fun place to go get some food of meet up with friends for a drink and some appetizers. Go and see for your self seems to be busy all the time .buy we didn’t have yo wait.

What a great little place. They had a black bean burger that my daughter enjoyed. The wings and regular burger were excellent. The food looked so good, I forgot to take pictures of it. Our waitress was also fantastic!
