Social Profile:

Bar Crudo was opened in 2005 as a modern raw bar serving pristine oysters and presenting creative ways of serving raw fish preparations. Providing sustainable seafood and supporting local producers is important within our ideas in developing the menu for our customers. We’ve long had ties to the Western Addition, and have made the Divisadero Corridor our home to support and grow with this community.

Hip, casual seafood restaurant known for its raw-bar menu, chowder & long beer list.

We made a spontaneous last-minute booking at Bar Crudo on a Saturday evening and were so glad we did. They had an amazing happy hour on both food and drinks, which was a great bonus.
We ordered pretty much everything on the menu and were happily surprised by the quality of the food, everything was fresh, well executed, and delicious. They also have an excellent wine selection.
The place itself was lively and trendy, with a great atmosphere

Made a rezo for 2 at 8pm on a Thurs and did the happy hour oysters (all you can eat for $36 with purchase of a bottle of wine). Unfortunately, we didn’t get our oysters or any food until an hour after we ordered, when the happy hour was ending fortunately they let us order another round of oysters anyways. The oysters were some of the smallest I’ve had.

The pasta dish was not bad, but not mind-blowing. The vibe of the place is great though, feels rustic and romantic

A fresh and relaxing stop that blends the bold spirit of northern Spain with the laid-back vibe of Baja. Bar Crudo serves a menu of oysters and other ocean favorites, paired with a mix of music and subtle wave-like sounds that transport you to the vibrant streets of Divisadero.
Perfect for a pre-drink or an oyster-style after-hour, its easygoing atmosphere invites you to unwind, clear your mind, and naturally fall into whatever the night has in store next.

Dear Erin and wonderful crew:

I genuinely adore your place, which has become my home away from home when in SF. On this one night saved for solo dining, I love to come towards the end of happy hour, sit at the bar, either with a book or with newly met “bar neighbors” (if I’m in the mood for socializing). Your warm welcome, kindness, hospitality, attention to details and love for perfection make an impact in people’s life, a pause in the hamster’s wheel we are all in. I hope you know it. Every time I see familiar faces, that I don’t really know, but they’ve been here, and they come back, again. It says everything. May you open your next slice of paradise in Brooklyn, NY…

Cheers – and shuck! – to the little peaceful bubble you have created. See you very soon.

Excellent service, our waiter was very attentive and provided good recommendations. Seafood was fresh and the Crudo sampler had creative pairings. The spaghetti with clams was so flavorful and such a highlight – generous serving. Make a reservation in advance. Seating downstairs by the window, at the bar, or upstairs in the back.

Solid Happy Hour specials, $2 oysters were plump and extremely fresh. Mussels were lacking in meat unfortunately this time and I wasn’t fond of the sauce too much. Steamed Manila Clams and an order of the house bread (from Acme bread) was really good and filling. Stick with oysters and $9 wine specials, you won’t be disappointed!
Oh and did I mention the lively, cute decor? Staff were super friendly and knowledgable also 🙂 Recommended!

This is our new favorite spot in SF, our waitress Zoe was incredibly attentive and kind, and the food was top notch. The fresh oysters, lobster beet salad, and local cod tacos were the standouts for us. 10/10 coming back soon. The happy hour (even on Fridays and Saturdays) is a great deal too!
