I have no idea what negative reviews are talking about. Probably the best service I’ve gotten at a restaurant since COVID.

The food’s alright, better than practically anything else on the corridor.

But the service SHINES. A ton of attention, everything was fresh, nothing sat in the window. The kitchen is orderly, i got the mac and cheese, and it is fantastic. A creamy béchamel sauce, great flavor and piping hot.

The brisket was nice and lean, with a solid flavor. By no means the worst bbq i have had.

I’ll be back!

I almost didn’t come because of the negative reviews, and I’m glad I ignored them. They even packed my soda for me to take with me. No clue what world y’all are living on giving less than a 4 for this spot.

First time here..really nice and good food..servers kept going to the wrong table and forgot who got water and who had ice tea. There was only 2 of us. Other than that good parking and right off I 35 north. I will come back.

I had an amazing experience at Klem Mikeska’s BBQ in Temple. I ordered the triple meat plate with BBQ sirloin tri-tip, brisket, and smoked turkey – 3/4 pound of meat in total for only $20. The portion was incredibly generous for the price, and everything was delicious.

Service was kind and quick, and the decoration of the place added to the authentic BBQ atmosphere.

Totally recommended if you’re visiting Temple and want to enjoy a real Texas BBQ meal.

This restaurant was very quiet and cozy with only a few guests. I was met with a pleasant smile from the greeter and seated quickly. My waitress was named Daisy. She was very kind, polite, and professional. How refreshing is that nowadays when people can be rude and uninviting. Daisy was a pleasant opposite. I must give this young lady her props because she had such pleasant disposition.
Now, to grade the meal.
I had the brisket and smoked turkey, which came with two sides. I wasn’t too sure if I would like the brisket, so Daisy offered to have me try a sample before completing my order.
That was very thoughtful and considerate.
I also asked if I could have my food hot and not lukewarm or cold. A lot of restaurants have dropped the ball serving its customers cold food. In my opinion, this is unacceptable behavior. However, Daisy understood the assignment. Thank you.
When she brought my food, the brisket was tender and flavorful, the turkey was pretty good but a little dry, and my okra and green beans tasted very good. But, the only issue I had was that the bacon in the green beans looked barely cooked. So I skipped the bacon and enjoyed the rest of the meal. I also ordered the Peach cobbler for dessert, and it was so-so. I’m more use to it being far sweeter but I also understand the restaurant doesnt want to contribute to its guest becoming diabetic, soooo it was okay.
Overall, I enjoyed the dining experience, and whenever I visit Temple again, I’ll probably revisit this place.

8.13.24: Western atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food, on the other hand, was not great. For an appetizer, I got the white wings as they sounded interesting. They weren’t bad, but dried out some. Rolls were good. Then, I ordered a 3-meat combo with brisket, ribs, and sirloin tri-tip. The sides picked were loaded baked potatoe and mac n cheese. The ribs were meh/ok’ish. The other meats were dried out, and I couldn’t finish it. I have no clue why mac n cheese is considered a premium upgraded side because there was nothing premium about it. Now it wasn’t bad but not for the extra cost for being a premium side. The baked potatoes are what you expect. For dessert, I got the skillet cookie. It was good with what was there. There was just enough cookie to barely cover the bottom of the skillet. What a disappointment. Food wise, I can not recommend this place. Nothing really stood out and meh at best. Next…

Listen all these negative comments about the waitresses need to stop. The brisket tonight was really good and super moist. The Mexican girl with the tattoos at the drive through was super sexy and friendly. Bro this restraunt been in business for years for a reason. Old man Clem was a straight shooter and solid till the day he died. May God bless Anna and everyone who eats at Clems.

One of the best restaurants in Temple. We take traveling visitors here and always have a great experience. We got the family special with brisket and 3 sides and ordered an extra lb of sausage. The sausage is very flavorful and unlike sausage from other restaurants. The original BBQ is always amazing. The mac and cheese was good, and we love the asparagus as a vegetable option. 10/10

The cheeseburgers are amazing but for to go orders hope you live close by because they will be soggy when you get home unfortunately, So best to dine in. And as for the white wings, it’s sad to say the world famous Las Casas white wings are dead because I bought some 11/13/25 and they were not the same and meat had too much pepper and tasted salty some kind of seasoning they use was just not it could hardly eat them tasted horrible. Other than that the bbq and fish is so good.

Father’s Day. Dine In.

Wait wasn’t as long as we thought it would be. There were two of us. Greeter seemed very frazzled and commented openly and loudly . Customers don’t want to see or hear that. Business was steady but not overly busy.

Server took our drink order pretty quick but service went down from there. Interactions with server and ongoing requests took excessive time. Repeatedly had to remind server what our request had been. Ordered Appetizers and entrées. What I did not like was that we got the appetizer and entrées at the same time. Customers usually prefer to have an appetizer in anticipation of waiting for their meals to be prepared. That was a little annoying. Temperature wise appetizer was very hot. Our entrées were lukewarm and on the verge of cold. My wife ordered jalapeño cheese sausage and she got regular sausage. I ordered a New York strip steak and it was cold not hot. The food was well seasoned, but temperature wise , not good. We were hungry so of course we ate well actually I ate my wife took her home by the time they corrected it and got it right. I had already finished my meal. Dining area is a little too dark, could be a little lighter so you can see what you’re eating

Looking around and reading about this place is well established restaurant in temple. But our first experience was not a good one.
