The food was good nothing like a seaside place, but for location was impressive.
The hibachi is super cool to have so close to home!
The prices are reasonable considering the prices of things lately.
No where in the restaurant does it state that there is a cooks tip automatically added to the bill at the end!!! Allegedly, part of the bill percentage also goes to the waitstaff. The owners of this place is 100% stealing money from their customers.
Our waitress was fantastic and she did a wonderful job. We also tipped her in cash as well. It is not her fault this place is operating on theft!
When you call to correct the mistake, the staff is rude, offers no real resolution, and immediately pushes the blame onto someone else or some “system issue.” When you ask for what you actually paid for, the attitude gets worse, takes extremely long to actually receive it, and the food is handed over short, dismissive, and clearly in poor condition.
What’s especially frustrating is being told not to use DoorDash, or that they wouldn’t recommend it, when the order is literally typed out and visible on their end. If you can’t handle third-party orders correctly, perhaps don’t offer the service.
Dine-in isn’t any better unless you’re sitting at hibachi. If you’re at a regular table, expect minimal service and to ask for refills yourself.
For the price point, this level of service is unacceptable. I’d strongly recommend making the drive to one of their other locations, like Mountain Top or Jim Thorpe, instead.
Edit: For a response for management. 🙂 This response is exactly the type of interaction I referenced in my review. Rather than acknowledging repeated mistakes and poor customer service, responsibility is deflected and the tone becomes dismissive.
My review reflects multiple experiences, not just one DoorDash order. If constructive feedback is met with hostility instead of accountability, it speaks volumes about how issues are handled.
Telling a paying customer to “take a break from ordering” instead of acknowledging repeated errors only reinforces the concerns raised in my review. I shared my experience honestly so others can make informed decisions. Hope this helps!
