Maxim’s at Oconomowoc Depot… what an awesome spot for a Sunday morning breakfast or brunch! We initially came for the atmosphere, but we definitely stayed for the food.
The vibe is fantastic the moment you walk into the old train depot. It’s full of character and nostalgia, which makes the whole experience feel unique and welcoming.
I ordered the skillet, and it was loaded — in the best possible way. Absolutely delicious. My wife got the breakfast wrap, which was also fantastic.
Friendly staff, an awesome atmosphere, and great food all around. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Went here for brunch. Place was quite busy which was expected for a Sunday. Our server was very attentive and treated us great! The food was very good. Their Bloody Mary’s are very good. Even better when ask for extra spicy. Will be coming back.

Ordered their special which was “south of the border” with beef brisket. I can’t tell you what’s in here aside from the brisket without looking at the menu because it was flavorless and it looks like they had a bunch of leftover food that they tossed on the grill. Service was great at least..

What an amazing place to be! Definitely will come back again, the soup was AMAZING (chicken dumpling) had soo much flavor! (Wish I had ordered some to go!) With that i had gotten the triple decker blt turkey club, super tasty loved it, would recommend! The set up was amazing, the server was fabulous, pretty cool to see the amtrack ride by!

The food was incredible – I got the veggie skillet (pictured). However, the service was not the greatest. The first thing our waitress said to our group was “coffee, anyone?” The few who wanted coffees raised their hands; she went to get the coffee and came back and asked for our food orders. She was so short and fast I never felt like I had a chance to say what I wanted to drink. I was stuck with water the whole time. I feel like she should have stuck with what 99.9% of all wait staff does and say something like, “Can I get you all something to drink?” and went around to get our individual drinks. Not only care about who drinks coffee vs who doesn’t.

Every employee there is so nice, our server Hugo was so friendly, professional and did a fantastic job with our orders for six. The food is always so good and plentiful. It is our special place to go to for my grandchildren who loves trains and we all love the atmosphere. 5 Stars!
