It has been years since I last visited Cafe Sunflower. The food was fantastic. I enjoyed the soy steak with asparagus, smashed potatoes, mushrooms and gravy. My sister enjoyed the mango shrimp with sweet peppers abs rice. Our waiter, server was wonderful and made us feel welcome and recommended the special of the evening which was the soy steak. I also ordered spring rolls which were also delicious. I will definitely be back and would 100% recommend to anyone that is vegan, or vegetarian. There are numerous options available.

Popped in for a quick lunch and tried the Nourishing Bowl (organic quinoa, massaged kale, roasted brussel sprouts, chickpea, almonds, tomato, miso sesame dressing, topped with avocado) This is an amazing salad and is a huge serving. I could only eat about 1/2 and took the rest home. It is the perfect salad, well balanced, not overly dressed or salted and is one of their signature dishes.

Chocolate Ganache cake (vegan/GF) is super rich, almost fudgy, but creamy. crust is crushed walnuts, I think, and is cinnamony.

Great restaurant, tons of seating and easy parking. Lighting is soft and easy, music playing was a lite jazz trio. Hostess & wait staff all were excellent. Nice to go section of cakes & desserts.

By far our best restaurant experience in the Atlanta area. The sunflower loaf was absolutely delicious. I cannot stress enough how satisfying it was to eat this meal. Also the kale salad and mash potatoes with mushroom gravy were the chefs kiss. My son loved his simple kids pasta. We added a few meatballs to it for added protein. Chocolate cake was very good and moist. Will 100% go back next time Im in the ATL

Pretty disappointed, considering previous reviews.
Our waiter was really nice. The Brussels sprouts and the chicken drumsticks were enjoyable. The rest was extremely mid. Looks great in photos. We did feel pretty gross the rest of the evening – like we’d eaten heavy greasy food. Maybe worth a second try, but not sure we’d return.

Cafe Sunflower was a good experience. It is a large restaurant, and the atmosphere is relaxing. All of the staff that I encountered were kind and helpful.

I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. I know that fluffy/soft vegan waffles are hard to find, but most of my waffle was very tough. The chicken was good though. I saw some other menu items that I would like to try, so I will definitely be returning!

Knowing I’d be in town I looked up vegan restaurants in the area and found this quaint little place. Allow me to begin by saying I love the area and upon arrival I liked the vibe. It’s clean, warm, and inviting. There’s plenty seating for large groups or people who don’t like feeling cramped. OK that’s me. I was greeted by a friendly hostess who seated me right away. I was there when they opened so seating wasn’t a problem. My waiter Alex was very friendly and professional. He was attentive but not overbearing. The menu had much to offer making my choice difficult. I had the Polette appetizer and the Fiesta Enchiladas main course. It should hopefully be clear that I like this place. My only concerns are two; the food was too salty, both the entree and the appetizer. I ordered thinking I’d have leftovers for later. Sadly the prevented that. Before leaving I talked to my waiter and who informed me that regarding some dishes I can request less salt while others are premade. My second complaint was no senior discounts. Yep that’s it. Now while I disliked the saltiness of the enchilada I enjoyed the different textures of the soft tortillas and the crunch of the lettuce. I have every confidence that they will at least reevaluate their salt content. They’re too promising for anything less.

When I was asked where I wanted to go for my birthday I immediately said “Cafe Sunflower”. I was so pleased with my food. I ordered the gluten-free vegetable fettuccine entree. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the fettuccine sauce was so filling. The vegetables tasted fresh. They were not selfish with the serving. I ended up taking some of my food home. 5 stars all around.

On my first solo visit to Atlanta, I had to try this upscale vegan restaurant which has been “plant based since 1994” per their menu cover. I had the Sunflower Loaf. The menu description is: “Impossible Meat Loaf, Red Bell Pepper, Onion, Zucchini, Water Chestnut, Kale Tossed In Sweet Thyme-Vinaigrette Dressing, Roasted Rosemary & Garlic Mashed Potato Served With Mushroom Gravy”. I really need to figure out how to make a similar salad dressing because I am not a salad person and inhaled that kale. It was really delicious. My server was excellent. I was sad that I ate so much and didn’t have room for desert. The location is definitely off the beaten track for a tourist trying to use public transit. I ended up having to take a ride share to/from the restaurant because my bus was cancelled both times.

This place is amazing
The food was fantastic and so was the service. The ambience is great too.

I would recommend reserving a table before heading there just for a nicer table /booth.

Tried the sesame soy chicken and it was 10/10
My wife had the eggplant lasagna and that was 10/10 too.

Would totally go here again when in Atlanta
