Did some food photography here and got down on a slice of coconut pie.
Recently went back and took my daughter, fried green tomatoes, burgers, grilled cheese, fries, all of it was delicious and the atmosphere is super cozy and laid back.
Staff felt like family even though I’d never met them before.
Great place to stop for a bite.

We were on our way back from an all-day outing and saw this spot dinner. Our family of 5 all decided to give it a try. It wasn’t busy, maybe 1 other family when we walked in. They had a buffet, but I chose to eat from the menu. The rest of my crew(hubby and 3 kids) at from the buffet. I chose the fried green tomatoes and grilled veggies. The veggies were actually fried, though. It’s not a problem. I like fried foods! Green tomatoes were yummy. Everything needed salt which was provided at the table. My only down side to this was that it was waaaaay overpriced. Like 60 bucks. Kids didn’t eat much but I understand it’s the buffet and they could have eating more. We had water with our meals but that’s normal because we prefer that over soda.
The high price is just the normal in today’s world. The place does need a bit of an update to it. Cozy and huge restaurant. I think that more items need to be added to the bar for the pricing. Maybe Include some vegetarian meals staff was extremely nice.
I probably wouldn’t juice it again but all and all, it was ok for home cookin.

Both my wife and I were scared when we first walked in because there was only one other couple eating inside this big place. The buffet is not open at this time , but we were told it will be again soon.. The new owner is very nice and from California. I ordered the home made meatloaf and it was delicious !!!!! My wife had the steak and cheese sandwich and she said was delicious !!!!! Will definitely be back here again very soon!!!!! Only complaint that I have is the soda machine needs to be adjusted because my coke didn’t tasted like coke, it taste like diet. Great food !!!! Prices are Cheap !!!!

We came in for some southern BBQ. First impression was the decor was outdated and tables were empty. It was so quiet in there with only a radio going behind the buffet. We had to whisper our conversation.
I had the pulled pork with a side of grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes. My significant other got the baby back ribs, fries and ribs. I thought the pulled pork was good, it had good flavor and was hot. But the baby carrots were raw and the mashed potatoes tasted like instant spuds.
My s/o other suggested the Mac and cheese tasted over cooked and processed, but the ribs had good flavor.
Presentation of the food was disappointing and felt they could do a lot better with the atmosphere. Ie spice up the menu instead of yellow printer paper.
Happy I was fed, but wouldn’t return in November 2023.

My meal was good. The staff on the other hand had major room for improvement. They just wanted to argue loudly with one another and more drama than anyone dining should be subjected to. I’m a very patient customer in general. I asked for a to go box and left before my meal was eaten. I never leave bad reviews but this time it was warranted.

Being from eastern KY and eating straight from garden to table this is the closest place I have found for fresh down home country cooking! Just amazed at how amazing the food is here! Let’s start with service! Kim was amazing! Ask for her when you come in! The restaurant was super clean as well as the restrooms! Selection was super! I had almost everything on the buffet and I did not have a bad experience! Met the owner! Super nice guy! My new favorite go to when I visit Berea!

Best experience in a long time. We went for lunch and always wanted to try this place. The southern charm in Berea has a very country vibe and food to match. Food so good, in my opinion better than KFC, Lee’s and Captain D’s put together. Two ate buffet for almost $25 and desserts to match. Cherry cobbler and Banana Pudding was on point.

The interior is kind of a Cracker Barrel knockoff but quant. The waitress, Kelly, was amazing which made the place seem better than it was. I started the meal with the salad bar which was ok. I had the ribeye steak with veggies and a loaded potato. The steak was over cooked – I ordered medium rare and got medium well – the waitress offered to have it remade but I really did not have the time to wait so I just ate it. The potato and the veggies were really good. The best part of the meal was the hot rolls with cinnamon butter. It is worth a visit but don’t expect to be impressed- it is good but average

The service was fantastic, and the waitresses were friendly. I found the food mediocre. They make their croutons, BBQ Sauce, and fried chicken in house. The croutons were amazing, the sauce was pretty good, and the fried chicken was good. Everything else tasted “meh” (group consensus). I am vegetarian and hoped for some down home country cooked sides and was left disappointed.

Mostly wonderful service. Atleast by our waitress! While checking out the cashier was on her phone texting. I waited around 30 seconds before she even looked at me, put her phone down or asked how our meals were. I wasnt impressed by the meals. The ribs werent as good as they could be perhaps because of the time of evening being close to closing time. I got the lemon pepper chicken with rice and 2 sides. The chicken was rubbery and had an odd taste after a few chews and the lemon pepper wore off. Meals arent well priced for the quality of food either. Also had to wait a while because “the cook went M.I.A” stated another waitress to a nearby table. We left a good tip for our joyful waitress as we truly enjoyed her service but honestly were let down by the food. The restaraunt itself was quiet, cozy and well decorated.
