I usually love Burritos California but they really missed the mark this evening. The potato rolled tacos were not only made with meat, but were covered in BROWN quacamole. Not like it turned brown on the way. It was solidly something no one should put on food for paying customers. To add insult to injury, the veggie burrito was over 2/3 lettuce and dry tortilla with just a little bit of beans, rice and cheese. I was sad. I still gave an overall 4 star rating because over all I’ve had 4 star experiences, but the food was only 1 little tiny star tonight, folks.

Went here with friends on a night out (as it was one of the few places open) and loved it. Their service was slow but everyone dining was nice given the time of night we eventually got our food which is what mattered the most. Even given their service, I would go back and highly recommend getting their tacos with salsa on the side.

Okay the portions! It’s enough to share! Or have 2 meals in 1! My burrito was the length of my arm, so very Large portions! The taste, I’m spoiled because I’m from California and the Mexican food there is thee best, I have tried a couple of places in Washington and this is definitely the best! The only thing is there salsa take taste like spicy water, it had no flavor. Other than that, pretty good!

If you’re in the U-District, you have to stop by California Burrito. I’ve been working at the new Raising Cane’s build, and this spot has been my go-to lunch every single day. The Carne Asada Fries Burrito is the one – no discussion. Just make sure you ask for the steak and fries extra cooked. Trust me. That little extra crisp sets it over the top.
The flavors are on point, portions are solid, and the salsa/veggie bar they have is clutch. They’ve got curtidos (the pickled cabbage mix) and fresh salsas that actually hit.
Also, get the guava drink. Don’t think about it, just get it.
Total was only about $18 for the burrito and drink, and it keeps me full all day. If you’re anywhere near UW, this is one of those spots you’ll find yourself coming back to. Recommended 100%.

The food is delicious but service sucked. I ordered oreo cake, along with my order tonight through doordash and did not receive it. I called the restaurant to try to have it resolved and explained what happened. They just hung up. Pissed me off, had enough on my plate, having to stay at children’s and my wife and I just wanted some dessert with our food. But.. nope.. guess the vending machine will have to do. Disappointed.

had a terrible experience with California Alberto Delivery. Not only did the order arrive late, but the meat was completely undercooked — borderline raw in the middle. It was unsafe and disgusting. I couldn’t believe this passed any sort of quality check. I immediately had to throw the food out because I wasn’t about to risk food poisoning.
