Formal Complaint Regarding Order Fulfillment and Service Quality
Formal Grievance: Order # TV72-CU81NH – 12/22/2026
I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment regarding a recent experience at your 5367 W Atlantic Blvd, Margate, FL 33063 restaurant. While I am typically not one to lodge complaints, the combination of technical failure and unprofessional management I encountered has left me deeply discouraged.
On [12/22/2026], I placed a breakfast order via the McDonald’s app at 10:11:08 AM, specifically to ensure I met the 10:30 AM breakfast cutoff. Despite arriving promptly, the time spent waiting in the drive-thru queue resulted in my reaching the window at 10:35 AM. At this point, I was informed my order would not be fulfilled and a refund would be issued.
When I requested to speak with a manager to understand why a pre-paid, confirmed order would not be honored, the interaction was unacceptably defensive. Rather than offering a solution or a professional explanation, the manager was dismissive, repeatedly stating that the food was not collected by 10:30 AM. There was a complete lack of accountability for the fact that the delay occurred within your own service line.
This experience is symptomatic of a larger, concerning trend I have observed:
Pricing vs. Value: While prices have increased significantly, the quality of service has plummeted.
Operational Friction: The mobile app should facilitate a smoother experience; instead, it created a situation where I was charged for a service that was then arbitrarily denied.
Lack of Civility: The discourteous nature of the management team has reached a point where visiting this establishment now causes genuine hesitation.
I value my time and my patronage, and it is clear that, at present, McDonald’s does not. As a result, I have deleted the mobile app and intend to take an indefinite hiatus from your restaurants. I expect a higher standard of professionalism and common courtesy than what was displayed.

I finally found a location that fills up the fries! They’re usually empty, but I should ask.. What happened to the bbq sauce? It tasted so different and it’s sweeter now, were the ingredients changed?

Do you know what it’s like to drive late at night and very sleepy? I felt like the only thing that could help me was a good McDonald’s breakfast. Although I don’t regularly find friendly people and a good atmosphere to eat inside the restaurant, on this occasion, I decided to sit inside and have breakfast. Then “Rita” appeared. A beautiful Latin lady, with a good character and a kind smile. Her kindness and good treatment had a double effect on my mood. I had breakfast and was happy to find people like “Rita”. I thanked her before leaving and she told me that she has another job as a principal, and that she works these hours at McDonald’s to donate that check to worthy causes. Wow!!!…there are still people in this world, who think about the need of those next to them. I thanked God so much for McDonald’s and thank you for Rita. I think we need more Ritas around. THANK YOU DEAR “RITA”. Now it’s time to keep working. Here we go.

This experience was horrible and disgusting. First, the food took over 30 mins for me to receive there was a huge drive thru line and like about 15 people waiting inside including me waiting for food. There were people complaining about how they’ve been waiting for more than 40 mins and people that got there after them already got their food. The workers were insanely rude , i put sauces on my meal and they didn’t put it in the bag so i went to ask for some and the lady was ignoring me and laughing at me so we asked again and she still was doing the same thing then i was like ” we only need a ranch and a bbq” the other worker was like “is that all?” i said yes and he said “you can come back here and get it” with a lot of attitude , and not only did he say it with attitude but he also was telling me to get the sauces myself from the back as if i work there. Me and my family were sitting at the tables and a worker walked by when we were eating mind you the same lady and she looked over and rolled her eyes . Overall do NOT come to this location , they also overpriced their food.

I waited for about 15 minutes at the drive-thru speaker, and nobody took my order — even though I had already placed it through the app. When I finally spoke up, the cashier rudely told me that their system was down and I had to wait, or I could cancel my order if I didn’t want to. I explained again that I had already ordered through the app, but she still refused to help. I was only assisted after I mentioned that I would leave a bad review. Very disappointing customer service.

SLOW AS ALL HELL they ruined the hell out of so many of my breaks for lunch because i’ll be waiting in their drive thru line for 25 minutes. don’t go here in the morning, 1-4pm or 6-7. you’ll be there forever and the food stale

I stopped in this McDonald’s location at the Lakewood plaza for a Big Mac, fries, and a drink. Though the drive-thru was fairly busy, the inside of the restaurant was empty…I assume because people were standing in the parking lot watching the fireworks light up the sky. The dining area was very clean with adequate table seating.
I greeted a female employee and gave her my order. A few people were entering the restaurant and within that time I received my food. The fries was hot and crispy, and the Big Mac was nicely prepared. Will return to this location abain whenever I get the taste for McDonald’s.
