It is a good bar for sports enthusiasts in front of Nats Park! This place is big, with indoor and outdoor seating, a massive beer wall, and 16-screen TVs that are perfect for catching all the action, not only for baseball. The atmosphere is lively, with friendly and attentive staff.
The food is good and the service is fast.
The menu’s got something for everyone, from classic bar favorites like wings and burgers to elevated options like pork belly bites. The drinks are also great, and their craft selection is on point.
Located near Nationals Park, it’s the perfect spot to grab a bite before or after a game. Just be prepared for crowds on game days! As in any place in DC, parking is hard, but it is within walking distance of the Metro station. They also have some special events.

Walter’s is a perfect place to grab a bite before or after a Washington Spirit game at Audi Field. The food was good, the menu appropriately varied, service was fine (a little slow given how empty it was), and the atmosphere was classic sports bar but there’s plenty of outdoor seating and only a 10 minute walk to Audi. We plan to make this our regular pre-game spot. Why mess with what works! I would recommend a reservation normally though – we’ve been by here before and it’s been packed before Nats games.

Stopped here on my way home from D.C. and the food was delicious! The steak in the steak salad was seasoned so well and my burger was cooked perfectly. The old bay on the spinach and artichoke dip was the best. Can’t wait to go back.

The location is perfect for pre-game or post-game gatherings at Nationals Park, or catching other sports with good company. Lively but not overwhelming; perfect for group banter without shouting. The outdoor patio offers a relaxed vibe for all ages. Our server was wonderful, she was very attentive and friendly even though it was a busy time for her. The food was great and reasonably priced.

I have passed Walter’s Sports bar and Restaurant many times over the past four years going to and from the Geico lot at Nationals Park. Today we arrived early and I decided I would try it out.

Not a lot of people yet as it was Father’s Day and the game was still two hours away. We were greeted outside by the host and taken to a seat inside as requested. Jenna K was our waitress and she was friendly and very nice. Made some suggestions and was quick to serve us and check in on us.

For food, we had the Cheeseburger and the Breakfast Burrito. I had the BB and it was really, really good. Great taste and loved the potatoes and other items inside it my daughter had the Cheeseburger and fries and enjoyed her meal. Typically we eat inside of the park, but I’m glad today we chose to try this out. The food was very good and the service was outstanding. I love that they had breakfast items on the menu because I was not quite ready for lunch and the selection was outstanding.

The bar is decorated in a baseball theme, and it really is a sports bar atmosphere . They also have a self-serve wall where you can purchase beers by the ounce. Love this technology, which I’ve seen in many bars. Perhaps I will try that next time.

So, next time I have another 1:35 PM start, I will just come early again and eat here. It really was enjoyable.

I came here with a friend for brunch before a concert. It’s your typical sports bar, except that it’s HUGE. We were sat quickly and our server was very nice; our food also came out fast. I had the omelet and decided to add lamb and cheese. They forgot the cheese and so had to remake it and the lamb was so chewy and fatty. I would not recommend. We also split an order of wings and they were decent.

All in all I wasn’t really impressed but I suppose when you come to a place like this, you should just stick to burgers, beer and wings.

Customer service was horrible, because we were waiting for our server someone brought us waters with no ice. wasnt asked what we wanted to drink, the phillysteak sub was horrible & fell apart when I picked it up, fries were alittle cold and hard.. we had to ask for napkins, condiments. Definetly won’t be returning.
